A full month had now passed since Xolvion and the others had been in this new city. He had taken the time to explore all it had to offer, exploring all of the fruits it had to bear.
The city was on the larger side and like most was split into different sectors meant to help separate the classes by wealth. But with Xolvions newfound power, pretty much nothing that the humans called security could stop him anymore. Meaning that he could freely explore each part, either by blending in, sneaking around, or simply changing his appearance to someone completely different, his powers now really knew very few limits.
He had also taken full advantage of the girl's powers, having them also gather intelligence on the whereabouts of the empress of Earth. If they heard even a whisper he wanted to know about it.
Although he no longer gained any power or strength from absorbing the fluids of any normal woman, that didn't mean it wasn't still useful. After all, he still gained their knowledge and memories, something that could always be useful, especially for learning about the area quickly.
The only other thing that Xolvion really had to worry about in the human realm now was money. That's right, stinking money.
However, Xolvion had also come up with a plan for that too.
Using the knowledge that he had now obtained from his recon, he knew that this city had four major gangs that ran the streets. They controlled everything, from human trafficking, drugs, slavery, assassination and just about anything else you could think of.
Between their leaders, they had also paid off and bribed the higher nobles of the city to turn a blind eye to their activities. Of course, it certainly helped the fact that the nobles were not exempt from indulging in there, should we say, extra activities.
Knowing this, Xolvion knew just what had to be done, something that would guarantee a steady stream of income, as well as providing a lasting empire that he could build throughout the entire human kingdom of Gelgur.
Using his new powers, Xolvion had found the identity of three of the four leaders of the crime families. The first he had been able to find out about, thanks to Luna, who had tailed some of their men back to their hideout.
They belonged to the red bands. They were called that because they all wore a red band somewhere on their body, indicating that they belonged to that particular gang. Luna had been able to find out much more after she had interrogated some lower lackeys, who were more than kind enough to inform her of their illegal activities.
The red bands held the north side of the city, taking pride in their brute strength, taxing most of the local shops on their side of the city for protection. They also sold narcotics, such as potions and herbs of the not so legal kind. Their leader was a man who went by the name, Red. Someone Xolvion was looking forward to meeting.
Next was the Emerald hand. The Emerald hand ran the west side of the city, dealing in assassination, and stolen artefact's, especially anything to do with ancient magic. Although feared throughout the city for many reasons, Zoranna was more than capable of capturing and gaining the information about their leader.
Apparently, the leader of the Emerald hand went by the name of the Emerald blade, a fierce warrior whose reputation made her sound like a bit of a bad ass and someone Xolvion wouldn't mind bedding.
Next was the Ruby lions. The Ruby lions controlled the south side of the city, as well as having control over the docks. No one got goods imported in or out of the city without their say so, and because of that, they could get their hands on almost anything. However, they seemed to deal mainly in human trafficking and slavery, both the legal and illegal kind, selling slaves of every race to the highest bidder.
From what Xolvion had gathered, their leader was actually a beast-man. A huge-lion man known for his brute strength and feared as a powerful warrior who wielded a large two-handed sword made of magic ruby, hence the name Ruby lions.
The last crime gang in the city was known as the black dragon clan. So far Xolvion had not been able to find much about them, not apart from that they controlled the east side of the city, having a finger in each of the pies that the others had, however, Xolvion had yet to gain any more intelligence on who their leader was, and where they might be located.
Xolvions plan was simple. He would infiltrate each gang and gain control over their activities, taking a cut of the profit. All he had to do was either kill or beat their leaders into submission so that they would pay him protection money. Quite simple really.
"And that's the plan." Xolvion finished, looking at the others waiting to see their response.
"Why that's an excellent plan master, once we control these pathetic excuses for criminals, we will control the entire city, gaining next to unlimited recourses along the way," Zoranna said as she crossed her legs.
Luna agreed, crossing her arms before she spoke.
"Of course master. An excellent plan." She said.
Crystal simply nodded her head with an excited look on her face. Unfortunately, she wasn't strong enough yet to be able to help with said plan, however, that didn't stop her from having her say.
"Master Xolvion will become the ruler of this city in no time!" She yelled as she jumped off the bed, latching herself to his arm, pushing her large breasts against it.
Xolvion nodded.
"First we take this city. Then we take the empress of Earth. Then we take back my throne." He said with a devilish look, one which sent an excited shiver down the girls spine.
With that said and done, Xolvion decided it was time to move his plan ahead. After looking at the intelligence they had gathered so far, he had concluded that taking the Ruby lions first would be their best bet. From the looks of it, they controlled the most amount of territory, also having the largest supply chain and ultimately the most amount of profit. If Xolvion could bring them to his side first, bringing the others would be much more simple.
"Alright. Luna, you're with me." Xolvion said pointing to her.
Luna nodded, but Zoranna and Crystal were anything but happy.
"But master, what about us?" Crystal asked.
"Zoranna. I want you to continue to train Crystal in how to use her abilities. Besides, I and Luna should be more than enough to handle this." Xolvion said.
Zoranna agreed, knowing with his current power none in this city could challenge him.
"As you wish master." She said, giving him a slight bow.
"Alright Luna, let's get a move on." He then said as he grabbed his gear and bid the others goodbye for now.
Luna followed her master through the streets of the city, heading deep towards the south side towards the harbour. The city was sat towards the south of the region, located next to the ocean allowing room for plenty of ships. Ships that brought with them plenty of travellers and trade that supplied many of the towns and other city's further inland.
Xolvion could see that the deeper into the docks they strolled, the rougher the area became. Houses and homes turned into slums and worn buildings. The people that surrounded the area also became less hospitable, looking more battered and worn.
The sounds and stench of sex were also becoming more clear, with women even lining the street offering their services, things one would not see towards the centre of the city, which was more appealing to the naked eye.
Groups of men either gambling or chatting also lined the slums, keeping a watchful eye for any that seemed lost, having wandered too far into the outskirts. Something that Xolvion did not look like at all. But as always, there was one or two that were either too blind or too stupid to tell the difference.
"Hey, you! Yeah, you!" Someone shouted at Xolvion, trying to get his attention.
Xolvion didn't bother turning around and simply carried on walking. Something that seemed to piss the two men off.
"Hey, I'm talking to you!" One of the men said as he reached out to grab Xolvions shoulder, something he regretted almost instantly.
Luna moved so quickly that the two men didn't even see her move, only seeing a black and white blur before they even realized what happened.
"ARRGGHHH!!!" He suddenly screamed as his hand swiftly left his body, letting blood spray out of his wrist.
"You dare try and lay your unworthy hand on master Xolvion!" Luna shouted as she flicked the blood from her claws, giving the man a death stare.
"Why you! Do you know who you're messing with!" The other shouted as he drew his sword.
"We are members of the Ruby lions! We run this part of town, you stinking bitch!" The man shouted as he charged forwards to slash at Luna.
"You fool," Luna said as she easily dodged the slash, making it look easy before she grabbed the mans wrist and snapped it with ease, causing him to drop his sword.
The man screamed as the bones in his wrist broke, piercing out of his skin, making his legs go all queasy before he passed out from the loss of blood.
"Are you done playing around Luna?" Xolvion asked, simply watching from the sidelines.
Luna couldn't help herself. Anyone who tried to disrespect her master would pay with their life.
"Forgive me, master, I simply got a little carried away." She said with a pout.
Xolvion laughed before he walked over to the man whose hand Luna had cut off, standing over him as he watched him squirm on the ground.
"Heal." He said, letting his magic take effect, instantly healing him and even growing a new hand in the place his other had been, getting a very surprised look from him.
"W-W-Who the fuck are you!" He stuttered, slowly crawling backwards.
"I need to speak to your boss. I'm what you could call a... Well, actually you don't have to call me anything, either take me to your boss or die. Your choice." He said, using his new skill pressure to easily convince the man to do his bidding.
"O-Ok, Ok! Please just don't hurt me!" He said, begging for his life. Even without the ability to sense magic, he could tell that Xolvion was one scary guy.
With that, the man guided Xolvion and Luna through the streets and towards the seafront. castle walls that protected part of the city from the tide gave one a beautiful view of the ocean, one that Luna had never seen before as she stopped to take in the site.
"What's wrong Luna, have you never seen the ocean before?" Xolvion asked, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Luna nodded slowly before breaking her gaze with it, looking back to her master.
"Hmm... Once this is over, we will have to take a little trip out to sea then, I hear the seafood in this city is wonderful." Xolvion thought as he gave her a wholehearted smile, grasping her chin in his hand.
"Master..." She whispered softly as she lost herself in his eyes, each of them staring into the others with a wild lust.
The human male that was guiding both of them to his leader stood awkwardly to the side, watching their exchange.
"This is my chance." He thought as he quickly turned on his heel and bolted, trying to escape as quickly as he could.
"Foolish human," Xolvion said, not taking his eyes off of Luna, simply snapping his fingers.
The human suddenly stopped on the spot as he felt something take a hold of him as he levitated into the air.
"What the hell is going on here!" He shouted as he was suddenly tossed to the ground, landing hard before Xolvion and Luna.
"Did you really think you could escape that easy?" Xolvion said, raising an eyebrow as he looked at him.
Suddenly Xolvion felt a sudden sense of danger coming from behind him, and quickly turned, putting up a protective magic barrier. However, to both his and Luna's shock, a huge sword made of ruby broke through his shield with ease, slashing through Xolvions torso and sending him flying back where he crashed into the castle wall.
"Master!" Luna yelled, shocked that he had been hurt so badly.
"Sorry. But my sword eats any and all magic for breakfast." The one who had just hit Xolvion said as he lifted his large sword and dropped it over his shoulder.
Luna looked him up and down, seeing it was the Lion man, leader of the Ruby lions. He was a huge hulking mountain of muscle, covered in battle scars that added to his intense aura.
He stood above Luna, taking interest in her appearance before he spoke, showing his large fangs.
"Now, how about you let my man go, and I won't kill you once I'm finished fucking you, little one." He said, letting his eyes burn with lust.
