"What did you just say?!" Li Xuan asked his secretary, impatience was evident in his voice. Six years, it had been six years since he had been searching for her in every possible way. But Lucy was not just a nobody, she could be found only if she wished to.
Surely Li Xuan wasn't a very calm and collected person. He had learned to live in moments, but seeing him this impatient, was the first time for secretary Yang.
Secretary Yang Yun repeated "Sir, We have spotted the lady at the international airport of our country 'C', And now we are waiting for your further orders."
Li Xuan was overwhelmed. All of a sudden he was having difficulty in breathing. It was as if he wanted to live and die at the same moment.
He was supposed to think several things like how to approach her? How to apologize to her? Will she believe in him if says he loves her? Etcetera-etcetera. But his head was empty as if it had just stopped functioning.
Secretary Yang, who has accompanied him since the day Li Xuan stepped his foot in the business world, was at a loss of words.
He had seen Li Xuan as a rude, Spoiled, arrogant but a successful CEO; a stupid avenger but he changed for better. He learned to respect the humanity, encourage the needy and hopelessly love his ex wife.
Now that she was back will it be their happy ending or six years had already done the majority of changes? The answer to this question was hidden in course of time.
Secretary Yang shook his head, chasing away the unnecessary thoughts emerging in his head, and cautiously approached Li Xuan. "Sir, What's your next order?"
Li Xuan was snapped out to reality. "Postpone! I mean postpone all the meetings!" He said as he hurriedly grabbed the car keys and ran out of his office, forgetting to take his coat.
...
Coming back to the very same country where all the beautiful and painful memories were created was not an easy choice.
Lucy wasn't the same social and helping Lucy anymore. She had become the one whose priority was money.
Earn money and earn more money then earn little more money-- mantra of her life.
In European countries her chains of hotels were more than famous, now she had decided to expand it in Asia. Thus, she was back to country 'C'
She was wearing blue denim and white shirt paired with a combat boots. Her wrist was jeweled with an expensive wristwatch and her blue eyes were covered under the black goggle she wore. her rebel honey brown hair was neatly combed, giving her a powerful corporate look.
In simple words, she was a brand without a tag.
Her left hand was inside her jeans pocket. While other.... her other hand was grabbed by a kid around 4-5 years old. The kid, which was a girl, had similar blue eyes like Lucy's
Lucy was supposed to feel pain or heartache when she landed in this country but surprising enough, she felt nothing, Neither happiness nor sorrow. Emptiness.
"Angel, I am tired. When will auntie Akira come to pick us up?" The little girl asked in her adorable voice.
This voice was like a piece of relaxation music to Lucy's ear.
Lucy who was thinking nothing and everything at the same time, now looked at the little fairy who was holding her hand tightly, as if once she will let go of Lucy's hand, she will disappear.
Lucy crouched down so that their faces were at the same level. "Omisha..." She gently caressed little Omisha's hair and smiled "She will be here soon, baby."
Just when Lucy was about to glance at her wristwatch, She heard a familiar voice "Sorry! Sorry president, I'm late. Was stuck in traffic." her assistant started explaining.
Lucy merely nodded but it was enough to let her assistant know that there is nothing to apologize about.
Akira was not just Lucy's assistant, she was Lucy's most trusted person. In the absence of Lucy, Akira was the big boss.
"Aunt Akira!" the little girl ran toward Akira and hugged her legs.
Akira bent down to Pat the little girl's back. "I made little Omisha wait, no?" Omisha nodded "Will little Omisha forgive her aunt Akira?"
Omisha leaned to her ear and whispered "Only if you buy me ice-cream."
Akira chuckled at the innocent blackmailer and whispered in an equally quiet voice "Deal."
And once again, after their little chitchat was over, Omisha was back to Lucy, clutching her hand as tightly as before.
"Let's go, Angel!" The little girl said delightfully.
Lucy had fair numbers of people in her life who loved her, cared for her. But the one who actually made her feel like she was wanted in this world was this very little girl.
Her relaxation music, Her niece, Omisha.
Her brother and sister-in-law were a part of British government assassins. Sometimes some people couldn't be eliminated in a lawful manner, hence the government needed them to be rid of secretly. That is why, the government had created a squad which consisted of highly trained assassins who worked on the order of government.
Doing such dangerous job and raising a baby was almost impossible for Lucy's brother. Thus, Lucy became everything for Omisha. Raising Omisha since the day when Omisha was just One and half years old.
Holding Omisha's hand they headed to the car park area.
On the way to the parking area, she spotted a huge poster of Him hanging on the wall of a huge building.
The CEO of 'Origin Incorporation' and her ex-husband.
She froze on her way and took off the goggle she was wearing.
Then she starred directly in the eyes of the man in the poster.
At first, when she looked at the poster, there was so much hatred in her eyes, the hatred which could burn anyone alive. But within two or three seconds the negative feelings of her eyes vanished. Now she was looking at his poster indifferently Like he was some stranger.
He still looked the same. Lucy had strictly prohibited herself from intentionally doing any research on him, but Li Xuan being a bigshot, always made some headlines about him which reached Lucy's ears. She had heard he was doing pretty well in life.
Omisha lightly shook her Lucy's hand as she had just stopped in the Midway "Angel, what are you looking at?" she innocently asked.
Lucy shook her head as she smiled at the kid "It's nothing, Omi. Let's go." Omisha nodded and with that, they walked away.
....
It was illogical to think that Lucy will be still at the airport until Li Xuan would reach there but perhaps it was his good day, she was still there.
Thump!
The very first sight of her made his heart thump loudly.
His breathing fastened. The one whom he wanted to see so badly and yet he dared not to hope for seeing her was right in front of his eyes.
Wrong were the people who said a man don't cry. Because his eyes seemed to betray that principle.
She was still the same and yet everything about her was changed.
Her face still had the former glow but there was no touch of warmth in it, instead, it had the hint of iciness.
Her whole appearance was screaming one word- power! But the powerful lady was looking like an emotionless doll.
And for some reason, he knew it's all because of him.
"Forgive me," -- a very small word but probably the only word he could utter at that moment.
He was about to approach her when he saw her crouching down to a..... little girl?
He only noticed the little kid now. Who was that kid with similar eyes as Lucy?
Some possibilities horrified him, but can he blame her? No.
She smiled at the little girl, her smile was not as bright as before. But it was good to see her smile.
A few minutes later a girl around the same age as her came, Probably to pick them up.
And the trio headed to the parking area. Li Xuan noted how her way of walking had also changed.
Li Xuan saw her stoping on her way when she noticed his poster.
She took off her goggle and he got to see her blue eyes which he missed dearly.
But wait,
There was.... so much hatred in her eyes...
"Fair enough, I'm entitled to it." he accepted her hatred.
But within a few seconds, the hate was replaced with indifference. This hurt him.
As long as she felt something for him, he was fine. Even if the feeling was hate.
But she treating him with indifference like he was some passerby, it was hurtful.
Once again, who said man doesn't cry? Li Xuan wore his goggle.
"Wife, you are back..." He whispered.
