Nicholai arrived at the Dreame Café with brows furrowed. He was looking around, obviously looking for me. I waved my hand for him to see where I was sitting.
He saw me immediately and walked over to me.
"Let's go," he said when he arrived at the table where I was sitting.
"Wait." I quickly finished the coffee I ordered. After I finished drinking, I took my shoulder bag and wore it on my shoulder. "Let's go," I told him while smiling.
We went out of the Café together and walked to where his expensive car was parked. It was an Aston Martin One. I rolled my eyes. Boys and their toys.
He opened the door for me. I thanked him before getting inside and sat on the passenger's seat. He turned around and got into the driver's seat.
"I thought you're with your beloved boyfriend?" he asked while raising his brow as he started the car's engine.
I suddenly frowned at what he said. He was teasing me again. He always did that.
"He went back to the Law Firm because I told him you are all waiting for me to leave," I said to him with a glare.
"Stop glaring at me. Why do you seem to be blaming me? You are the one who forgot about our plan."
I sighed and just leaned on my seat. "I'm sorry, okay? I was so excited to meet Philip that I forgot that our family had a plan today. Tsk!
"Whatever. But you already owe me. You said you'd do everything that I want." He smirked.
"Fine. Just don't let me touch the snake, like before, because I will really kill you, Nic." The brute just laughed at me. Damn! Annoying.
Before, I didn't know that he would make me do that when I lost once in our game. I cried a lot then. I was so pissed with him that time. If he really tried to do it again, friendship was really over!
I was startled when his phone suddenly rang. It was so loud. I saw a woman's name, Cheni, calling. His phone was just on the dashboard, and I could clearly see it.
Cheni? My best friend? I haven't heard anything from her for a week already. Why was she calling Nic?
"Cheni's calling. Is that Cheni, my best friend?" I asked him with scrutinizing eyes.
"Yes. Why?" He chuckled.
"What ?! What are you doing to my best friend? Hey, Nicholai!"
"You are overreacting. She lost your contact. She saw me one time at Starry Hub and asked for it and also mine. And I don't know why after that she keeps on calling me."
"I know you more than anyone else, Nic. Don't hit my best friend if you're going to hurt her too." The fool just laughed at me again.
"Look. I'm not interested in her. She's pretty and sexy, I admit. But you're still more beautiful and sexy for me," he said with a wink.
"Hey! What are you saying there? Yuck! That's gross! We are not on the same boat, Nicholai!"
"Yeah, right." He chuckled. "Just answer the call."
"I don't want to. You do it if you want."

After two hours, we already arrived at the resort. The whole family was already eating dinner when we arrived.
They all looked at us as we entered the rest house.
"What took you so long, Ate Denims?" It was my younger brother, Jayson, who asked. He was beside his twin, Jaymar, eating a giant crab.
Suddenly I felt hungry. Damn! I looked at the food on the long table. They were having a boodle fight. And I couldn't help but drool at the seafood in front of me.
"Traffic," I just said, then sat in the vacant seat in front of them.
"What took you so long, Denima?" My Mom asked. She was sitting beside my father.
"She forgot that we are leaving today, Tita." I glared at Nic. He was smirking. This man was really a bully. He really didn't know when to shut his mouth.
"Do you really need to tell them? You are such a tattletale," I told him angrily.
They almost all laughed. My Mom and Dad. My two brothers. Then Nicholai's Mom and Dad and his sister, who were all eating, suddenly stopped and chuckled while looking at us.
"You two really haven't changed. You're still like a dog and a cat when you quarrel," Nic's Dad said with a laugh.
"Both of you are really something. Why don't you just get married? Both of you are at the right age already," his mom said while smiling.
My eyes widened at what they were saying. Me and Nicholai getting married? What a horror! Not going to happen.
I love Philip. And he's the only one I want to marry.
"Nichole. My daughter already has a boyfriend. So that's impossible," Mama said, laughing as she looked at us.
"Aww! Too bad. I still believe your daughter is for my son, Mare. She is the only one who can bring out the good side of my son."
Wow! Me? When did her son become good? If she only knew what his son was doing to all the women. She would freak out.
"Can you just eat and stop talking about us as if we are not in front of you?" They all stopped.
It was really different when Nicholai started to speak. Everything just stopped. He was really strict and always seemed angry by the look on his face. Jeez!

Annoyed, I woke up in bed the next day. If my brother hadn't woken me up, I wouldn't have gotten up from the bed. I plan not to greet Nicholai on his birthday so that he would be angry with me. Nothing. I just wanted to pissed him off because he busted me up last night.
Just wearing the oversized t-shirt and short shorts, I went down. I was done bathing and my hair was still wet. I didn't blow dry it. I was combing my hair while getting down the stairs. I met Nicholai at the end of the stairs smiling. He was already dressed and also bathed based on the drops of water in his hair.
"Good morning," I greeted him with a smile.
"It's already afternoon, Denima. I think you forgot something," he said while crossing his arms on his chest. I knew he was waiting for me to greet him on his birthday. But I didn't.
"What?" I glanced at the wall clock near the TV of the rest house. My eyes widened when I saw that it was four o'clock in the afternoon. "Oh my god! Why did I just wake up this late?" Now I know why I'm so hungry. I didn't have breakfast and lunch. Tsk!
"What are you playing, again, you woman?" he asked with an annoyed look.
"Nothing. I'm hungry. Go away." I left him and went to the kitchen to find something to eat.
I laughed when he suddenly went out. After I ate, I went out too. They were so busy preparing for Nicholai's birthday.
Some of his cousins had already arrived. They were drinking on the seaside.
"Hey, dosh! Come here! We've been looking for you the whole day." It was Hazel. One of Nicholai's cousins who was close to me.
She pulled me to where they were drinking and then handed me a shot glass. I smelled what was inside. Damn! Tequila.
I was about to drink it when Hazel stopped me. "Oops! It will be a body shot," she said.
"To whom?" I asked with raised eyebrows. She grinned at me. And I seemed to have an idea who.
"To the birthday boy."
