The moment this trade was put on the shelf there was an uproar in the chat,
"Fu*k there is ice in the trade"
"Water! Water!"
"Who is so generous to sell the ice at such a low price?!"
"Hey...the price of this ice is a bit too high. I can't afford it."
"Yes, Yes it is very costly. Can't the seller reduce it a bit?"
"If there is someone selling it, there might be a way to find water we just need to persevere for some time."
"Upstairs, I agree."
---------------
While the world chat was filled with the comments James directly ignored them and started his digging again. He has checked the chat when he uploaded the trade and this comments were only a way of these people trying to affect his prices so he ignored them.
It's not like he was in immediate need of those things, there were a few billion people around this planet, there must be someone who didn't lack these materials and will trade his goods. Once the trade is successful there will be more and more demand for it. This was his confidence in the quality of the goods.
[Trade successful: Obtained 4x fertile soil, 5x wood.]

[Trade successful: Obtained 4x fertile soil, 5x wood.]
Hearing the continuous prompts hurriedly opened the storage and found 16x fertile soil and 25x wood occupying two boxes. As the transaction was over the ice he has placed beside also reduced in amount. This was a magical scene for James even though he had read about it in school.
When the transactions have been completed the trade on the shelf also disappeared.
"WTF! someone truly traded those things."
"Sigh, I was pitted by the chats. I should have traded for it too."
"Boss, do you have more ice? I can pay you 10xwood for 200ml."
"Poor people upstairs don't trick others. Boos I can pay 20x fertile soil."
"Hahaha, drinking this water feels great."
"Yes, Yes. I am directly licking the ice piece and it tastes sweet."
those who have traded were commenting with photos causing an uproar in the chat column.
---------------------
James watched the chats for few seconds and after not finding anything important he uploaded a new trade and closed down the panel.
"Trade: Yin Ice(100ml water)
Note: This is ice made of mutated Ice elements. It is very helpful for females in increasing body strength. And can also be used as cultivation resources.
Trade For: Any material will be accepted.
Quantity will be decided in PM.
No limit for trade amount."
After closing the chat panel James was in deep thought. According to the test of the novice period, he had to leave this planet as soon as possible. And to find more resources for development he needs to find a way out of this enclosed place. According to his knowledge, he might be in an underground space and to get out of here he will have to dig upwards.
But if he digs upward recklessly he might be in a dangerous situation when exciting the surface. So he needs to know the situation outside before leaving. The second option was according to the hint given by the system earlier there might be something very important below this ice that might increase his chances of survival in the future.
But this also has a disadvantage that is he doesn't know how deep he has to dig, what if he is not able to reach there until the novice test ends? That will be a worse ending.
After carefully considering for some time he came up with a plan.
Since there is a novice protection period this week he will checkout the surroundings carefully for any clue. While at the same time he will start digging downwards to trade the ice with a large number of basic materials.
And when he finds a certain place to dig upwards he will divide the time of digging into 2:3, that is for every two hours of digging upwards he will dig three hours downwards.
With the plan formulated he began to dig vigorously downwards, the amount of Ice he can dig will determine his future growth.
Slowly a large amount of ice was piled in a small area near the pit, and James was continuously using the fire shovel to hit the smooth ice surface in a big pit almost 10meter wide and 15 meters deep. The pit was dug at a small angle to avoid getting stuck inside. This also increased to the amount he needed to dig, but James didn't mind this since he valued life over hard work.
After a large piece of ice was broken out he took it out of the pit and place it along with other pieces and sat down on the surface. Even in this cold environment, he was sweating profusely like a digger in the mines.
When the digging was stopped and the body was relaxed he found something odd about his legs, when he took off the leather shoes to take a look he was scared as his fingers were very cold and seemed a little insensitive. This scared James out of his wits, due to the greed for resources he forgot about these things, being on the ice for such a long time will surely affect his body and he might even die of frostbite.
"I need to find a solution for this."
The easiest solution for this was to find something warm and keep himself hydrated. Both these things can be done using the shovel.
But he had a different plan in his mind, opened the workshop option, and clicked on the farm blueprint. It showed that the required materials were obtained and directly selected to build.
[Used Fertile Soil 4x, Wood 10x, Water 3x (Note: 1unit of water is 100ml. And 1unit of soil is 1kg.)
Farm(Ordinary) built successfully.]
With a bright shining light enveloping the melted water on the shovel and the materials in the storage disappeared out of thin air. Seeing the notification James opened the storage and there was a farm option with a build option below it.
When he selected the option a VR patch of soil land appeared in front of him, it moved as he wanted it to. Without thinking much he placed it near the pit he had dug out opposite to the slanting direction beside the pile of ice.
This time there was no change in the surroundings but when he moved near the pit there was a small patch of land with soil when he walked on the land his cold feet felt a little relieved. This and can act as cold insulation for some time for him.
The farm was not very high-tech, it was just a 2*2m wooden board box in which the soil was placed. But it was enough for him for now.
After this was over he dug a little soil and placed the shovel inside and then covered it with the soil. After a few minutes, he removed the soil from above and took out the shovel to feel the soil below which was warm.
With a nod, he build another farm and placed it next to the first one. Now he had plenty of space to work without fearing the cold ice below.
