Ojero's Point of View
"To awaken the powers inside you, you must reach deep within. Envision your mana core as a roiling ball of magic, let it flow and circle around your body."
At this, Ojero closed his eyes and looked within himself, and noticed the familiar ball of purple and black, with a corner of a dark green.
"For those of you who can not see it, try again quickly, but if nothing shows up, it sadly means you are not magical. Those of you who are afflicted with this, please step off the stage now."
A few unlucky children left at these words, many with a dejected look on their face.
"Now, to fully awaken, you must reach into that core, and grip it. Then, you must apply mental pressure it till it breaks."
"Some of you may feel mild discomfort at this stage, but you must push on and fight it. Push through the pain, and the powers of the elements will be in your grasp."
Following the instructions, Ojero started to squeeze the core, and he suddenly felt very cold. The harder he pressed, the colder it felt, but at the same time everything slowed down.
A thought wormed its way into his head, as his core started to get smaller as he squeezed, and the feeling grew. He wondered if maybe it would be better to simply stop, to claim he is non-magical, to live a different life.
This thought quickly went away, as he applied the last bit of pressure, and suddenly he lost consciousness.

Orpham's Point of View
Orpham was a few rows back from Ojero, standing tall and proud. He was shorter than Ojero, only being 5'5" while the latter was 5'8", but his athletic body still made him stand out. While Ojero was lean and thin, Orpham was built strong with muscle all over him.
There were sparks between him and his brother, but he had a constant happy-go-lucky attitude that made him oblivious. He always had a "heart of gold," according to father that is.
What did Orpham enjoy? Helping, being kind, being a "hero."
Today, he was in his white and gold suit, standing tall and proud, ready to be blessed. As the priest gave them the first instructions, he looked within himself and saw his core.
It was gold and white, with an area of blue revolving around it, almost cosmically.
As the non-magicals walked off, Orpham couldn't help but feel bad for them. He wished he could reach out to them, help them. This, however, was not possible for him till he graduated Lumenbecs Academy.
From this school, some of Riotes greatest heroes came. Orpham wanted to follow them, and all graduates were granted special privileges.
Soon, the next step was given, and so Orpham started to compress the core. He felt a happy pure filling fill him, as if a holy light shined upon him.
As he pushed harder, the feeling grew and Orpham couldn't help but enjoy it deeply. On his face, the biggest brightest smile anyone had ever seen on his face appeared, and suddenly he finished it.
At the same time, Ojero finished his.
Suddenly, a great boom filled the room, as a very green flash entered the room, with very perceptive viewers noting the purple and black flecks seemingly hidden within it.
However, this didn't last long as suddenly a great blue and gold flash also filled the room at the same time.
Ojero had fallen to the ground, unconscious due to his compression, while Orpham never felt better. It was as if he could feel the cosmos in his hands, and the brightness of the world answered his call.
Unable to help himself, Orpham raised his hands, and channeled the strength he felt.
Everyone instantly gasped and fell back, as above Orpham a great dark blue vortex appeared. The gravity noticeably increased, as spare stones tracked in from the commoners suddenly flew towards the great vortex as it swirled rapidly faster and faster.
Orpham looked up in shock, as light started shining from the vortex brighter and brighter, and now even the priest stepped back.
Suddenly, Orpham felt strained, as if he was losing control and energy. Unable to stop, his hands fell down due to exhaustion.
However, this seemed to direct the orb in the direction where his arm went down.
Luckily all of the people in the direction his arm fell down had backed away when the vortex appeared, all except one.
Ojero was still unconscious on the ground, as the roiling ball of cosmic and light energy swept through the air towards him.
