Chapter 1 - Planning for Layover

Characters:

1.Adrian (the eldest brother)

2.Filbert (the elder brother)

3.Ryan (the younger brother)

4.Rian (the youngest brother)

5. Mr. William Frost ( the boy's father)

6. Aunt Maya (the caretaker of boys)

It was a bright, cold December day, and the clocks had struck thirteen. All of the boys were seated at the dining table, and they were about to eat their lunch. As their father (Mr.William Frost) had also arrived early from the office in order to inform their children of an important matter. When he entered the dining room, he exclaimed with joy and told the children, "Tomorrow we all (referring to the entire family) are going for Layover". Adrian expressed his annoyance by saying: "Aren't you busy tomorrow?"

Mr. and Mrs. William, on the other hand, never spend time having genuine heart-to-heart conversations with them, believing that parenting is all about providing shelter, food, clothing, and education for their children, along with some discipline. Because they are frequently preoccupied with work, daily life pressures, and running errands. As a result, having open and honest conversations with their children is unlikely to occur to them.

Mr. William responds, "No, I am not busy as also I have taken a break from the office work; I just want to spend some time with all of you". Rian exclaimed "Wow, it's going to be fun, where are we going dad?". "Any guesses?" says his father. "I believe we're going to our granny's house", says Ryan. "No, I'll give you a hint: we're going to your mother's favourite place" Dad says. "Oh, I see we're going to Gullfoss, Iceland," says Filbert in a hurry. "You're right, you know your mother adores that waterfall in Gullfoss" their father says with a smile on his face. "Of course, I should thank Aunt Maya for informing me about my mother's preference," Filbert says in arrogance. The father replied "That's right, I want all of you to start packing for the trip as soon as possible I don't want any excuses in the end". "Don't worry dad, we'll all finish packing on time, isn't," the other boys shook their head as Ryan says. "First we should eat, and then we should go packing," Rian says.
