Kate, Ashley's secretary, got a call from a client about some change in the meeting scheduled in the morning so she headed towards Ashley's office to inform her about the same.
Kate stopped in her tracks, when she heard Ashley shouting at some employee, who was listening to her quietly with his head lowered.
The secretary helplessly shook her head, as Ashley's temper didn't change even in these two years.
When Ashley took over the position of the CEO and Paul retired, Paul's secretary Kate, was promoted to work under Ashley.
But Ashely had different plans. She wished to have someone smarter than Kate to work as her secretary.
Paul tried to convince Ashely against it, as Kate was well trained and had required experience but Ashely was stubborn and insisted on replacing Kate.
One of Ashley's advisers too suggested against it as Kate was perfect and had been well trained under her grandpa.
He even informed her of how important this job is for Kate as she needs money for her mother's treatment.
"I am not running a charity, I am running a big conglomerate. I only think about profits and nothing else" This was Ashley's reply.
Having no other choice Kate was fired and a new secretary was hired under Ashley.
But that secretary couldn't even survive for ten days under Ashley's supervision.
This continued, as no one was able to handle Ashley's temperaments and some people even cried under pressure.
Ashley became infamous for firing her secretaires and no one dares to work with her.
Three months went by like this and Ashley couldn't manage her work without a secretary so finally Paul had to step in and he went to Kate, begged her to join them back.
He hired her with a higher salary to convince her to work for them.
Kate too joined the company again in spite of being aware of Ashley's temper as she was in desperate need of a good job.
Kate helplessly shook her head when she saw Ashley shout at this employee as even after two years, Ashley was still rude to her employees.
Ashely saw Kate at the door and signalled her to come inside.
"Get out and don't show me your face" Ashley shouted at the employee, who had been standing with his head lowered down.
"Sorry Ma'am" He again apologized before he left.
Kate didn't ask Ashley, as to why she was furious at this employee as in the last two years, Kate learnt one thing.
Mind your own business when working with Ashley and talk only when it is necessary.
"When is our meeting with M&M?" Ashley asked Kate.
"I just got a call from them, they requested to postpone the meeting by an hour"
"Why?"
"They had some personal reasons but they want to close the deal today itself. So, they rescheduled it for today"
"Okay, I don't have any problem. For the Busan project, I hope all the documents are ready"
"Yes"
"Make sure everything is in its proper place, before signing the documents I have to read everything" Ashley ordered.
"Sure, the main documents are ready. The legal team is working on the final documents."
"Tell the legal team to skip lunch if necessary and to make sure by afternoon all the files are on my table" Ashley ordered.
"Sure" Kate then left from there and sent mails to the legal team to send the documents by afternoon.
After checking their mails, the legal team cursed Ashley.
Since she took over the position of the CEO, their lives had become hell and she earned the pet name DEVIL.
The next day, Ashley was agitated seeing some report and she made an announcement that she is immediately firing the employees whose performance is below average.
Many employers were terrified when they got this news and by the end of the day, twenty employees were fired.
They were all shocked as they were old and were supposed to get retired in a year or two. They started their journey here and dedicated their whole lives to the Park conglomerate and didn't expect to meet such an ending after the dedication and hard work they showed to this company.
Paul tried to convince Ashley to not do this but she didn't even listen to him.
Ashley asked Kate to hire ten new people the next day and she ordered only to hire young people as she believed the efficiency of ten young people is much higher than twenty older ones.
The very next day, an announcement was made of hiring ten people on an immediate basis for various positions and there were on-spot interviews.
