The hospital assured them the ambulance would be on the way and Jeju island was closer so the new people who arrived there gave a lift to Alex and the woman he just saved as they couldn't leave them alone and neither could waste time in waiting for the ambulance.
"Thank you so much for helping us" Alex thanked the couple who helped them.
"Please don't thank us, we are doing what anyone would do. How are you?" The woman concernedly asked Alex while husband carefully drove to ensure to take the two wounded people to the hospital.
"I am fine, but she is not, I am worried about her" Alex said, pointing at the woman who was now lying on his lap.
"Don't worry, the ambulance too is on the way and they are coming with equipment as soon as we meet on the way, this woman's treatment will get started in the ambulance itself" The man, who was driving the car, assured Alex as he already discussed with the rescue team about the situation.
"Thank you so much" Alex was truly thankful towards these strangers, who were helping him.
In a while, they came across the ambulance, the woman on Alex's lap was safely shifted into the ambulance and he too entered it as he needs to be treated too, after thanking the couple who saved him.
The medical, rescue team helpers handed him a water bottle and started treating his wounds, after asking him where he was hurt while other people from the team bandaged the woman's face, he just rescued as her face was damaged and if immediate measures were not taken it would be damaged beyond repair.
"How is she?" Alex worriedly asked the team, who were treating this woman he just rescued.
"Her face is damaged" One person informed him and that person suddenly gasped in fear after touching this woman's head.
"What happened?" Alex got panicked seeing the paramedical person scared.
The paramedical person touched the back of this woman's head and when he brought his hand in the front, they all saw her head was covered in blood.
"Shit" Alex cursed loudly as he didn't realize this woman was hurt on the head.
"Did her head hit something hard?" A nurse asked Alex.
"I have no idea" Alex honestly replied.
The people continued treating her and they reached the hospital in a few minutes.
A stretcher and another team of paramedics were standing there ready and they immediately transferred the extremely bleeding woman to the operation theater.
Alex sat on the chair in the waiting room as his wounds were already treated on the way to the hospital and he didn't have any serious wounds on him.
Leaning back on the chair, Alex wondered what was happening with his life.
'I was born with bad luck. Then today, why was I the one who is alive? Is this life a blessing or a curse? My life won't be peaceful anymore as Ashley died suddenly. Fuck I need to inform these people of her death and tell them how her body fell in the waters. I forgot to do so while saving this woman.' Alex thought to himself
But suddenly the nurse rushed towards him and said something that surprised him
