Daniel didn't know what the situation was. He only knew that Jane suddenly screamed hysterically when she received an incoming call from someone who gave news of Mia's condition, who was seriously injured.
Jane was escorted by Daniel. They rushed to the hospital. Along the way, Jane kept praying that Mia, her best friend, was fine and that nothing terrible would happen.
Arriving at the hospital, a well-built man in a black uniform approached Jane was already in front of Mia's room. The man looked sympathetically at Jane, who was already in tears.
"Are you Michael?" asked Jane in a nervous voice.
Daniel was behind her, listening intently.
"Yes, right. I'm Michael. I'm the cop who investigated Mia's case. It just so happened that your best friend called you last night, but you didn't answer," explained Michael, who was already holding the clipboard and pen.
"Wait. Where's Mia?" Jane glanced at the room next to her.
The man named Michael lowered his clipboard slightly. "I'm so sorry, but your friend didn't survive," said Michael.
Jane's eyes widened rapidly. Jane did not believe what the officer told her.
"It's impossible! Mia is still alive! Tell me what happened to her? She must be fine, right! Jane was starting to get hysterical.
Daniel was getting ready to put a hand on Jane's shoulders as she started to get hysterical.
"Mia was found dead by suicide because she jumped from her apartment. The medical team has assisted, but he is still not safe. The wound is quite severe," Michael explained.
Jane still doesn't believe the police statement. "Impossible!"
Daniel's hands were holding Jane's shoulders. But Janes immediately entered the inpatient room. She saw Mia's body which was mostly wrapped in white bandages.
With slow footsteps and a trembling body. Finally, Jane approached Mia, and Jane handheld Mia's body, looking at her face and eyes that were closed.
"Mia? What's wrong with you? Tell me, if you're okay. You're still alive, right? Remember the promises we made. We will go on vacation together," said Jane hysterically and she shook Mia's body quite hard.
"Jane, stop it! Enough!" shouted Daniel, he immediately grabbed both of Jane's arms to get a little away from Mia.
"No, Daniel! Let me go! She's still alive! Mia just fell asleep. Just yesterday we had fun together. But why is she now…"
Jane seemed weak and helpless. Her sobs broke out again. She quickly covered her face and slumped down weakly. She didn't care if Daniel was behind her.
Daniel immediately embraced Jane's body and brought the woman away from Mia's body. The sadness continued to overwhelm Jane, her cries continued to grow, and Daniel hugged her body tighter and tighter.
"Mia… Mia…!" shouted Janes hysterically.

Jane doesn't know who Mia's family is. All she knew was that they were both alone. Mia's funeral was done even though only a handful of people were present. There wasn't even a hint that Henry would come to see Jane. Even though, it's already the fourth day since Mia's departure.
Luckily, there was Daniel, the man who often encouraged Jane. He often delivered food, asking how she was. Right now, Daniel was talking in Jane's room.
"Are you still sad?" asked Daniel.
At that time, the two of them were sitting on the floor. Even though, there is a sofa that looks empty and is not occupied at all. However, Jane is more comfortable if she just sits on the floor with her knees tightly wrapped around her.
"I feel like I can still feel Mia's presence. I still can't accept that she's gone," said Jane desperately.
Daniel slightly shifted his sitting position so that he could be closer to Jane. Not to do anything strange, but so that he could put his arm around Jane's shoulder and so that Jane could lean on his shoulder.
"If you want to cry. Just cry. It's okay, Jane," Daniel suggested.
Finally, Jane did what Daniel asked. Again she broke out in tears and it was heartbreaking to hear that. Moreover, Jane does not know why Mia decided to commit suicide.
At that time, they were still in good condition. Let alone suicide. Mia always hates when Jane thinks the same thing. But why is it so different now?
"What's really going on?" that was what Jane kept thinking.
"I'm sorry, Daniel. I shouldn't be like this," Jane said with a pale face and puffy eyes.
Daniel felt pity and suddenly approached Jane's face. He wanted to kiss the lips that made him tempted. Jane realized that Daniel's lips were too close to hers, but she remained silent and stared into Daniel's eyes that kept looking at her.
It was only when Daniel's lips drew closer that Jane pulled back her face. For a moment, the situation became awkward between the two.
"I'm sorry, Jane. I'm too carried away," said Daniel with a fixed gaze on Jane.
Jane stared for a long time at the two pairs of black eyes. She tried to read Daniel's mind. And Jane knew that when Daniel did have feelings for her. Other than that, no bad thing crossed Daniel's mind.
"You don't need to apologize. I should have stopped acting like this. There's no point in crying and worrying about this situation," said Jane as she got up from her seat.
"I was wrong, Jane. I should know myself better because I know you already have a husband," said Daniel feeling guilty and uncomfortable.

That night, Daniel could not linger. He also has to do his job. Meanwhile, Jane returned to silence and solitude, who had always been her loyal friend.
Sometimes the tears still come out when she remembers Mia. Jane still couldn't believe that her best friend who had always cheered her on had left her forever.
Some of Mia's personal belongings are now in Jane's hands. Like cell phones, notebooks, and other things.
The police have determined that Mia did commit suicide. They found no signs of coercion or other violence. This makes Jane even more frustrated, for some reason, she is sure that Mia didn't commit suicide.
When Jane was confused with her thoughts. Suddenly Mia's cell phone rang, suddenly she was shocked and scared at the same time.
Who called Mia last night?
An unsaved number appears on Mia's phone screen.
Jane was still watching for a moment as she thought. Did she need to answer the incoming call? because of high curiosity, and finally, she picked up the phone call.
"Hello?" Jane stammered, "Who is this?" she asked again.
Strangely, it sounded like an indistinct noise. Then a voice answered from behind the phone.
"This is only the beginning. I can hurt people around you, Jane," said a robotic voice.
Jane couldn't tell if it was a man or a woman talking to her.
"Wait! Who are you? What did you mean just now?" Jane asked aloud, more furious than afraid.
"Mia, she's just one of the proofs because I can do anything. It was all her fault for refusing the assignment I was given," she said in response to Jane's question.
"But, what do you mean? Why Mia? So you're the one who killed her?!" asked Jane, guessing with certainty.
The robotic voice just laughed for a long time. The voice laughed at Jane because the confusion was overtaking her.
"I warn you again, Jane. You must obey the task I gave you because so far you both have also enjoyed the money that I have sent. But if you refuse, then I will easily get rid of you two he threatened."
"I still don't understand. What do you really want?" asked Jane, growing increasingly furious.
"You must understand what I mean. Mia refuses because she thinks of you. Now all the decisions are yours, Jane. Get ready, there will be a task waiting. I'll send you a link, and it'll only last for a few minutes. You have to copy your assignments immediately and after that, and finish the pending tasks," explained the robotic voice.
The commanding robotic voice didn't have to wait for Jane to say anything. The phone call had been cut off, but Jane was still holding Mia's phone tightly. Only a few seconds later notification on Mia's cellphone immediately rang.
An incoming message has just been received. Jane immediately opened it and it was true what the robotic voice said. There is a link that directs Jane to her next assignment.
When Jane opened the link sent for her. It looked like a short letter, but she couldn't understand it yet.
Jane takes a screenshot on Mia's phone. Only one minute later, the message suddenly disappeared.
Jane immediately sat on the edge of her bed. She felt something strange.
"What really happened? So it's true that Mia doesn't kill herself. Someone killed her, and what do you mean by the unfinished task?" said Jane confused.
Jane immediately took the bag containing Mia's personal belongings.
Jane started looking for anything that might give her a clue and started Mia's account notebook.
But she couldn't find anything,
"Come on, Jane! Think! What really happened? What is the unfinished task, I remember only a guy named Max. He is the last task which I do. Mia also said that it was their last mission," Jane said quietly and kept looking for other clues.
Jane opened the screenshot. Then she stared at the contents of the message thoughtfully.

"What's this code? Is this a place? Does this number have anything to do with the next assignment?"
