Alex was no different. His mind was still in chaos as he was deeply worried for Rosalle. He knew very well how much pain the spell would cause and on top of that it was her first time experiencing it. As a child he had forgotten most of the sufferings he had, but she was not a child and this torment might be implanted into her mind for a lifetime. He turned to look at her and did not fail to notice her hesitance. Lifting his lips into an arc he smiled and asked her in a low tone.
"Are you scared?"
Rosalle was startled at first when she heard him. But soon she reverted back at her normal self as she fluttered her eye lashes and said while shaking her head.
"I am not scared. Just a little bit nervous."
Clapping his hands with hers, he intertwined their fingers tightly. Rosalle naturally lowered down her gaze and saw their interlocked fingers. He stared at her face for a while before he comforted her in a soothing tone.
