"His highness, himself want to farewell you."
"Well, that's an honor."
I was with Leon, on my way to throne room.
Today will probably be my last day at castle, I'm not sure about it. It wouldn't be surprising if King have something in his sleeves to prevent me from leaving. It would be interesting if he provide me some generous offer, something take may caught my interest, but if he didn't, then...
The doors opened. King was sitting on the throne in front of us as Leon and I walked towards him.
"Greetings, Your Highness," Leon knell in the front of King on one knee, showing the full respect to the man he serves.
"Yo." Me, on the other hand, greeted him casual as I usual do. There was no need for me to show give unnecessary greetings as I don't think anyone would be great enough to me show him a high status respect...
King signal Leon with is hand to raise his head. Then Leon went and stand at a corner.
"Sir Allan, up until, you really helped us a lot. It would be good if stayed for a little longer." King said with a disappointed look on his face, so do were of Lucia and Laren...
"Thanks, but I don't want to trouble you all anymore, moreover, you have done more than enough for me,"
"Well I certainly don't mind if stay here for a while."
"It's an honor, but you see, I'm just a mere traveler. I don't want to ruin the glory of this place by staying here for free." I made my move.
"No, please. There is no way you are spoiling anything, infact, it's you who protected the glory of this capital. If anything else, you're just being modest. There is no way that the glory of this place will be harmed because of you, instead it would be even more glorious if you stayed here!" The one who took the bait was not the King but his daughter, Lucia.
"Yes, as she said, you being here will be an honor." That's it, King also took the bait. Now then, time for the next move.
"Thank you for your humble words, I'm delighted to here that." I didn't continue just because to create the pressure. The less I talk, the more they will think about that I want to end the conversation and leave this...And, the more effort they will make.
"Sir Allan, I would like to ask you something,"
"Go ahead."
"I would like to invite you to stay here and work with us." Hmm, pretty straight forward. He didn't even hesitate to make that request, seems like he easily lose his patience just as I wanted.
"Obviously, not for free. We will pay you a good sum of monthly salary and-"
"I refuse." I cutted in between. Everyone looked at me with bewildered face though it was obvious since I don't think anyone would be brave enough to refuse the offer of the King on his face... Even he was surprised but quickly composed himself.
It would great if I accepted the offer since it would be easy for me to do my task but if I accepted the offer in one go, their mind will unconsciously think that I was planning from the start to settle here and I don't want him to think that way. That's why, I'll play few mind games with him,
"I refuse. As I said earlier, am just a traveler, I don't think I'm suitable for your request,"
"As expected of you. I know that you'd refuse since I have seen so far, I don't think you're the type of person who will run after money and fame." Of course I wouldn't. I have more then enough of those things in my life. Why would I run after those stupid things?
"You're just overestimating me."
"No no, not at all. I don't think I have ever met someone as generous as you. That's why, I want to invite you to join us."
"Hmm, let me think..." I put my hand on my chin pretending as if thinking deeply.
"The thing going on here, has certainly caught my interest and think I'll enjoy it."
"Really?"
"Yeah, and this place is also, kinda, lovable. I don't know why, but I think so."
"Well that's a good news." Excitement was clear on King's face.
"Plus, everyone here were also humble since I came to this place, though there were few exceptions at starting." I said the last part while looking at Red Hairs with a smile.
"I think it's a pretty good idea,"
"S-So, will you stay here?!" 𝘞𝘰𝘸, 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵.
I nodded in agreement.
"That's great! We are really happy to have you, Sir Allan." King and everyone else were delighted on my response. Well, I do have to admit it that the pressure here was too much since the moment I arrived, those eyes were continuous staring at me...
I glanced at Lucia, see was not even blinking until I agreed King's offer.
"Alright then, I'll-?"
"But, there is it something I want to say." I putted a full-stop on King's delighting mood.
"I have few conditions."
"Please go ahead." He said with a joyful smile as if he had already accepted my condition here even asking.
"You see, I'm a traveler so I like freedome so if I'm allowed to-"
"It's fine. You don't have to worry about that. You're free to do whatever you want, no one is gonna stop you, so please rest assured."
He answered my request before I could finish, well, that's fine. As long as I can freely do my task, I don't have any problem.
"Alright. Then the next thing I want to say is... about the Demon Lord." I said last part with a slight pause.
Mood of the room changed as those words came out of my mouth. Everyone were holding a serious look on his face.
"... What do you want to discuss about the Demon Lord matter?... "
"I know that few among us present here holds the great divine blessings of the Gods."
"! " Everyone was shocked by my statement.
I looked over Lucia, Laren and Red Hairs one by one.
"...I think, we really can't hide anything from you, can we?..."
I smiled in response.
"You're sharp-one... Did you get this information from someone...?"
"No, I can sense it." Once again, everyone was surprised by my words.

Personal, if someday they get lost, and somebody gave me a missing poster of them, I don't think I can identify them as long as they don't have that surprised expression on their face on that poster... I think I much recognise 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 face of them compared to their normal one.
"What?!...You're such an impossible man, capable enough for detecting the divinity, I have no words for praising you. Honestly speaking, I can't even believe that you're actually a human... Such a great man you are."
Who said I'm a human? Did readers said? Or author? I never heard anyone saying or telling you that I'm a human...
"Now, if you are willing to hear my condition then,"
"... Please go ahead."
Heh, well then...
