As soon as Lisa pushed open the door. She was choked by the smoke in the room and she began to cough.
“Ahem.”
She looked up and saw Augustus sitting at the head of the bed with cast on his right arm and his right leg was also covered with cast. There was a cigarette between his left hand’s fingers.
The smoke curled up above his head making his face more gloomy.
Lisa frowned as she walked in. From the corner of her eyes, she saw a pile of cigarette butts in the ashtray on the bedside table.
She couldn’t help but raise her voice, “Why are you smoking?” She went forward and snatches the cigarette from his hand.
She then went to the window and reached out to open all the windows. The wind was warm and hot outside.
“Why do you care if I smoke?” Augustus said coldly. His face was clearly showing his displeasure.
Lisa sighed and then walked to the bed. She sat beside him and held his hand. “I am sorry, I should have informed you before going for lunch.”
