After I showered, I stepped out and into the room wearing just a towel, my hair was wet on hanging down my shoulder. Beckham was on the balcony leaned on the railing, I took a minute to admire the devilishly handsome player, he was wearing a pair of jeans with no shirt, and set jeans were huge his tight ass perfectly.
As he was feeling my eyes on his behind, he looked over his shoulder and let his eyes run over my body. He turned around and walked so he stood in the doorway, he couldn't tear his eyes away from me.
"If you wanted a shower, there should still be some hot water." I held on the towel with one hand. He nodded as his eyes ran down my body. He took a step forward.
"Octavia, listen, about the engagement party, I'm sorry. I changed really, I'm not the same guy I was in college," I held out a hand stopping him.
"Beck I really don't care, I just think you could have used your brain for ones." He bites his lips, nervously.
"I know, and I'm sorry. I made a mistake by doing that. I just,"
"Beckham, Stop. This your life, do whatever you want, I'm not a jealous girlfriend okay. Now if you need a shower go take it." I haven't been in this close proximity to him since the last day of college in his room.
Beckham when to the bathroom and closed the door. I let out a breath and started to get ready, drying my hair, doing my makeup, and getting dressed. I sat on the bed when Beckham comes out from the bathroom dress in a pair of fresh jeans and dyeing his hair with a towel.
I was wearing a pair of shorts and a button-down shirt, tucked in, sleeve rolled up, and the top three buttons undone. It was just a dinner with the parents and the bridesmaids and groomsman, so pretty casually.
I sat with my laptop, as Beck went to his bag.
I glanced up at him, and bite my lip not to say something. I looked back at the laptop, I really couldn't share a room with him for 4 days not without going back.
I could see Beck turned around to face me and back for a couple for seconds and then back again.
"Ox," It comes out breathless, I looked up.
He was holding a shirt but still shirtless, he still wearing his necklace he had been wearing since he was a child, he had gotten it from his dad.
"Beck,"
"No just listen to me."
"No. You don't need to explain yourself just maybe think the next time someone you care for is celebrity something, don't bring a girl that doesn't mean anything to you."
"I know, Okay I know, I made a mistake."
"Beck,"
"I'm sorry, okay. I did change, I'm not the guy you met in college."
I looked at the time, it was time to go.
"You should get dressed or we gonna be late." I closed my laptop and scooted to the edge of the bed.
"Ox," I slipped on my shoes.
"Don't Beck, is okay, you made a mistake. And you can do whatever you want, date, don't date, fuck someone or don't fuck someone, I don't care and you shouldn't care what I think if you forgot we were just friends if you could call us that. Let just celebrate our friends and go back to our separate lives." I stood up.
"But Octavia just,"
"No get dressed, because I'm not getting kill because you didn't get there in time." I walked past him to leave but he grabbed my wrist.
I looked at him.
"I have changed." I looked into his honey brown eyes.
"Okay," I whispered.
"Just get dressed."
I walked away, grabbed my things, and left.
I shouldn't care, I don't care, except I just want to hit him and finally truly kiss him after 6 years.
Okay, put it on the shelf, and let's have a great wedding, you know how to have fun without wanting to jump Beck. You can do it, Octavia, have fun.
I walked down the hall to the elevator when Beckham comes running down the hall.
He grabbed my arm and turned me towards him.
"Ox, please," He hadn't buttoned his shirt yet give me a view of his abs.
"I did change, Octavia. What I did was," He stopped mid-sentence. We stood with a couple of inches between us, I looked into his eyes those honey-brown eyes.
"Beckham, can we just give our friends a great wedding and get along."
"Ox, I swear I have changed. I shouldn't have brought her I just couldn't," He let out a deep breath but didn't finish his sentence.
I smiled and placed a hand on his chest.
"You're sorry, good. Now it's our best friend's wedding and we were able to get along in college, now I know we not in college but can we get along just for the next 4 days without fucking up their happy day." He nodded while keeping eye contact.
I smiled, great.
I clapped his chest.
I looked down at his chest, tapping a finger.
"You might want to close your shirt, because I not sure if you have met Willi's parents, but, um, I don't think this is the impression you would want to give them." I laughed.
He looked down at himself, then back up at me and smiled.
"Yeah might not want to do that."
I shook my head and turned around.
"I might not have told you in a while but you still have a great ass."
"Shut up, beside you're devilishly handsome." I throw a glance over my shoulder.
"Well, I think that makes us a great couple then." I shook my head as I walked into the elevator.
I turned and looked as Beck tucked in his shirt.
"And in what world did we ever have sex?"
"Been a couple isn't just about sex Ox, I thought you knew that." He smiled.
"Haha, I know that, but great sex never hurt anyone." He smirked at my comment.
He stepped closer to me.
"Well if it's great sex you want, all you have to do is say so," The elevator door open and I backup as he walked closer.
"Well, if I get horny, I'll make sure to come find you first." My back hit the back wall and Beckham placed his hands on the wall trapping me against it, he cames in close with a smirk.
"Well, I did say it was gonna happen someday, back in the day," My eyes flaked to his lips and back again.
"You did say that." I smiled.
"Well, so don't you think I have waited long enough?"
"I think," I whispered leaning closer.
"You should Press the button so we can go to the dinner." He closes his eyes as I leaned back against the wall.
I chuckled, this is what our relationship was like back in the day. We would yell at each other, then flirt like there was no tomorrow, but never sex, there might have been a drunk kiss here and there.
We got down for the dinner, it was a good dinner, it was nice to talk to people I haven't seen in a hot minute. I didn't get a chance to talk to Willow parents but I had another 4 days to talk, Willow's mom had been the reason that I was still alive today, she was the one who got me out when I was younger and she had been the mom I didn't have, and even now she still had a big place in my life.
After the dinner we want back to the room, I had changed into my PJs when there was a knock on the door. I looked at Beck as I was pulling my hair into a ponytail, he was still dressed so he when a opened the door.
"Hey, Jill."
I walked over to the door and placed a hand on his bicep to get him to step aside.
"Hey Beckham," She looked at me.
"Octavia."
"Did you find something out?" I asked as I crossed my arms.
"Yes," She hesitated.
"What?" Beck asked.
"Okay, so I tried to figure out the rooms, but I can't find a different room not unless you want to change with someone else." She gave us a small smile.
"No, that's okay Jill we won't kill each other, but thanks for helping," Beckham said before I had a chance.
"Okay, you two have a good night."
"Night Jill."
"Good night," I said,
I got into bed and set my alarm, tomorrow was Willi bachelorette day, so I had to get up early.
I laid down when Beckham comes out for the bathroom. I had my eyes closed.
"You better stay on your side Beck, or I swear."
"What you not the cuddle type." I could hear him smirking.
"Just say on your side." I turned on my side.
"Good night Ox, sweet dreams."
"Good night Beck."
