"AHHHHHHHHH" the girl woke up screaming. Oh it was just a dream she thought, until she looked down and saw that she was wearing a strange dress. She noticed she was wearing a beautiful red dress with beaded embroidery, it was like a waterfall of red. A red veil accompanied the dress. Her hair was long and a deep brown color but it was nothing compared to the deep brown of her skin. Her skin stood out against the red mesh of the dress's sleeves. She also saw people passing by in strange clothes. Then she realized she was in ancient china. She was one of the only black people there. Whenever she stuck her head out to see where she was, people on the street stared at her in amazement. People bowed as she passed by. The girl was so absorbed in everything else she failed to realize the woman in front of her was calling her name. "Adamma, are you okay?" the lady said, she was dressed in gold and green silks and jewelry, her hair was long and dark. She was a shade of beautiful brown that gleaned in the light. The green and gold silk cascaded down her legs, at the end of these silks there was a pair of gold flats. The woman was so beautiful that even the color gold pales in comparison to her. The woman calling her name must have triggered her memories, because images came flooding to her. Her original name was Nia, she was 20 and had just become a world renowned scientist, when she was killed by her own co-worker in her lab. She was never really close to her family because she was always working. As she thought about this more memories poured in, this time they were not her own, but those of the original owner of the body she was in. The owner of this body was a princess named Adamma. She was getting married to a king from china. This would create a union between Africa and China during the war. "Hello Adamma, are you sure you're ok?" the woman said, then Nia remembered this was her maid from Ndmanah, her name was Jaha. "Yes I'm fine Jaha stop worrying" Nia replied as if she had been living this life for years. A sigh of relief could be heard from Jaha but there was still worry in her eyes. "They say he killed all the women he has ever touched, they call him cursed" the person whispered as they passed the carriage. "Don't listen to them Adamma, your dad wouldn't have let you marry that man if he was dangerous" said Jaha, with a trembling voice. "I know" said Nia, knowing that her dad in this life would in fact send her to her death if it meant he would gain more power. And this was true even if she didn't want to marry this man, she knew that her dad would force her to do so. She knew this because this was happening now. That's why there were 10 guards around the carriage. Adamma was known to put up a fight, and it must have been a good one too if her father had to put that many guards to keep her from running away. Nia thought this as she looked down at her dress again, noticing the chain around her ankle. Finally the carriage came to a stop. Nia heard gates close behind them, but she could still hear the whispers of the villagers outside. "She will be dead in less than a week," one villager whispered. "How do you think he will kill this one?" another one said. Jaha knew Adamma had heard all of this before, how could she not after all she was getting married to China's one and only king Jiao-Long. Who is said to have had over 100 wives who have all died mysterious deaths within days of getting married to him.
