"Can everyone hear me?"
"I can."—"Yes."—"Ryan here."
"Okay, good." Alexa trudges in all black, slinking in the shadows of the woods behind the house. "It's almost time." She mumbles, before asking, "How is it on your end, Katya?"
"Donna is out. I locked her in a room." The girl responds, bouncing on the edge of the bed where her target lies.
"Nice. Ryan, what's happening?"
His line is quiet for a while, before his voice flows into everyone's left ear, through the Bluetooth. "They're setting up and more are arriving." He whispers.
"How many?"
"Around fifteen."
Alexa taps Phillip's arm as he is slouching behind her and they begin to move forward. Climbing over the fence separating the yard from the wild, they test the window to Donna's room and it slides right open—what a careless teen. As quiet as ever they slip inside and close it again, moving over to the bedroom door in a crouch.
"Yo, Sparrow! Hurry up with the fucking bathroom, man. I gotta go number two and they're about to start!" A deep yell travels up the stairs, just as the toilet of a bathroom close by, flushes.
Phillip shakes with silent laughter and Alexa nudges him to stop.
Ryan buzzes in, "Four more are coming in."
"Noted."
A different ghetto drawl, way deeper than the first, calls out to a man that seems to be just arriving, "Chris, where's my daughter? I told you to get her!"—"Bro, what the fuck?! Don't come back without her, you dumb bitch!"
"One is leaving." Ryan says on look out.
"Okay." Alexa then says to Katya, who has been quiet on the line, "One of the guys will be at your location in a bit. He's coming to pick up Donna, so keep a keen eye out. You know they all have brands on their right arm. Kill him."
"Aye, aye captain."
She turns to Phillip, "I think I know who David is." He nods in agreement as she checks the time again. "It's 11:15, you ready?"
"Ye—"
"Lexy, I've been spotted. I'm on the move." Ryan's voice comes in scratchy the same time the front door downstairs is thrown open.
"Boss, intruder!"
