Taking in the frown that creased his forehead and the worried look in his eyes, Katum shook his head in disbelief at his cousin.
'So what you're telling me is you like this young woman but she lacks knowledge of who you are and you don't want to tell her?'
Fashade glared at Katum irritated, 'that's not what I meant, I want her to know.' He rubbed his throbbing temple.
'Then tell her, I don't see why you didn't in the first place. Moreover, any maiden will be over the moon knowing you like her.'
He stood up and started pacing back and forth, 'she's different, she dislikes the chieftain without knowing him.' he said frustrated.
Figuring out that the said maiden was not from the village, Katum said thoughtfully, 'I must say, she's shallow minded and doesn't deserve you.'
He stopped in his track hearing that from Katum. 'No, you're wrong, I caused the dislike and all but she isn't. She's the most beautiful and smartest maiden ever,' he said dreamily.
