Chapter 6 - Training

Six months passed in the blink of an eye. Because of her natural affinity with the cold, ice and snow, she was easily able to grasp onto the concept of flowing like water. She learned the entirety of the first Skill she was given in a total of four months. However, even though she had mastered the concept of the Skill, she had not mastered the skill.

So, she continued to practice. Until half a year passed. She was still nowhere close to truly mastering the skill, but her understanding of the skill and her techniques were above most of the masters who truly knew the secret behind the Skill. So, even though she hadn't mastered it, she decided to open the first book she had been gifted by Xue Yingjie.

To her dismay, the book she had pulled out wasn't a book containing a Skill. Instead, it held instructions on how to learn martial arts. However, as she indulged herself in the book, she became delighted.

The book, if learnt properly, taught one defensive and offensive moves. It also would help her locate her chi points. He Xioali had once told her about one's chi points, but she had disregarded it as boring and had forgotten most of the lesson. She did remember though, that everyone had chi. But only with practice was someone able to enable them.

She didn't see how chi was special, until she began experimenting with the contents of the books. When using chi, her hits became more powerful, and she became faster. She even tried to use it while doing her Movement Skill, and although it exhausted her instantly, the results were beyond her expectations.

With applying chi to her Movement Skill, her progress slowed down. Albeit slower than normal, the results were terrifying. And finally, after another half a year, she decided to open the next book.

She immediately recognized the Skill as the one that she had seen Xue Yingjie use to disappear on the day that they met. It was a Skill that allowed one to teleport.

To say the Skill enabled one to teleport was a little far-fetched. Rather, it let one disappear for a second. They would become so fast, that they created the illusion of flickering away. But in reality, they just ran away and that "flicker" was their after image.

This Skill, was by far, the hardest Skill Aibing had tried to learn. Unknowingly to her, it was an A class Skill. It took years for people to learn it, and even then it took even longer to master it. Anyone that could hear her thoughts of frustration at progressing "slowly" within a year, would tear the hair off of their heads in shock.

While she considered her progress slow, others would marvel at her genius. Using the chi she had learned about in the martial arts book, she had been able to flicker at a slower rate than Xue Yingjie, but faster than people who had been training for ten years. It was an incredible feat.

All while learning, and practicing her Skills, Aibing was also preoccupied with He Xiaoli's intense training. And before she knew it, two years passed by.

She had been so focused on her training, that she didn't pay attention to anyone around her. And on the day of her departure, she was all alone. Other than the He family bidding her a farewell.

Saying goodbye to the He family was relatively easy for her. She was eager to put the horrible castle, that gave her nightmares for years on end, past her. She gave her teacher an unexpected hug, and even bowed down to He Delun - which made him smile with delight.

In the two years of her constant training, He Delun had helped her immensely with the contents of the second book - He Delun was, after all, a martial arts genius. He had helped her grow leaps and bounds, but his intent on helping her was unknown. Aibing tried to learn the basics as soon as possible however, because she found that He Delun loved to punish her when she messed up.

It was one of the first emotions to come back after the frost began to melt around her heart; discomfort and hate. She was uncomfortable around the young lord because of the way he acted towards her, but she hated him because of his discovery of her healing nature. He had even thought of the harsh experiments that had nearly cost three people their lives.

As she bowed down to pay her respects to the young lord of the manor, He Delun stepped forward to whisper something in Hua Aibing's ears. A vein almost popped as she listened to his vulgar words, but she was forced to suppress herself and leave without another word.
