Vicky knew Connor had enough pain, and that she was just adding to it, by telling him about her emotions. After all, what's the point if she keeps hurting her father by telling her about her own feelings. Her own pain.
"Dad! I should probably go back to rest… and don't pay attention to half of the things I told you. Everything's fine," Vicky said. She shut her eyes and tried to fall asleep.
"Something big is going down at the plaza," Violet said, rushing towards the tent. Vicky immediately opened her eyes, and sat on the bed, ignoring her pain.
"You can't fight. It's too dangerous to go out there like this," Connor said.
"Dad! I've fought like this before. I know what I'm doing," Vicky said. She got up from the bed, and took her weapons.
"What if you pass out again?" Connor asked.
"I won't pass out again," Vicky replied. She checked all her weapons, and walked to Violet. She saw Luna standing behind Violet.
