"If that was the case, you did everything you could. It must have happened so fast, also I doubt you knew about those guns," Connor said.
"Why are you saying stuff to make me feel better?" Vicky asked.
"I'm your dad. And I'm not just telling stuff to make you feel better, I'm just trying to get a point across."
"So that I don't feel bad," Vicky added.
"Vicky, you brought this up," Connor said.
"And I didn't say anything when you told me that you wished you were there the night of the fire. So why are you trying to make me feel better?" Vicky asked. She glared at him.
