"Keep your eyes closed," Ace said as he led Scarlett into the far end of his property while she was blind folded.
"Where are we going? I thought we were going to dinner."
"You'll see. Just wait. A few more feet," he said as they approached the spot.
Reaching the area where a small bonfire was going, he pulled off the blindfold. It was late in the evening and the sun was setting low in the sky. While she was getting ready for their date, he was doing the same, only his way.
"Okay. Now look."
Opening her eyes Scarlett's mouth gaped open when she saw what was before her. He had gone all out to make her date one to remember. Ace had hung a firefly lights in the tress, and along the brook the water flowed with lanterns placed by the waters edge. The firepit was burning with food cooking on the barbeque grate and the smell of roasted vegetables and cooking meats wafted through the air. The place looked like a fairytale fit for his princess.
