Even though things at dinner went reasonably well, besides Nicos now slightly twisted wrist, Edward was still distant. I had no idea what was going on but I felt panicked. When we got back to the hotel he retreated to the bedroom in claim he had to call Amanda.
I was left in the living room as I waited for Vlad to drop off my bags. Staying over at Yavoks would have not been the wisest situation at the moment. Edward did not mind whether I chose to stay with my family or him for the night, but his somber expression told me otherwise.
The doorbell rang and I quickly walked to it to open it. Vlad stood there with my two travelling bags and walked in.
"He sprained Nicos wrist," he chuckled as he poured both of us a shot of vodka from a bottle I did not see him carry in.
"I think he has lost it," I sighed as I quickly downed the shot.
