Edward
I woke up extra early the next morning before the sun had even risen and got ready for the day. I was not allowed to go back to work for the week after my incident and there was no reason for Vasili to go to the office since he did not have much work either. Even though I would not be going into the office I dressed in my black suit since I had a few errands to run before Vasili woke up.
Last night I went to bed feeling like absolute shit after our fight. The guilt and shame was consuming me till I finally fell asleep. I knew sometimes I forgot that people around me had their own problems, but last night reminded me of how selfish I could get. I had told Amanda about Vasili and I before I was even sure I wanted to be with him. It was no secret that my sister told her husband, Marco everything either, so it was no brainer that he would find out before I even got a chance to tell him myself.
At the yacht I completely dismissed any worry Vasili had about the guys finding out about us and figured they were all alright with it before I had confirmation. Our relationship accelerated so quickly that I was not shocked we had such an explosive fight last night. Everything in my life was always so fast paced that at times I felt my relationships had to be to. Owning so many businesses and having so many deals per day I was use to jet setting and moving fast. The only slow pace thing in my life was probably when I went to sleep and even that felt quick at times.
Vasili was not use to that. He was use to living what was considered to be somewhat a normal life. He still had the luxury of going somewhere without having guards or cameras follow him. Since I had been in his life it had all changed and it seemed I had pushed him too far last night.
Before I left I quietly opened his door to make sure he was still asleep and just like I had hoped, he was knocked out on the bed hugging a pillow. He was an extremely light sleeper so I tried to be as quiet as possible as I left the house and went down to my garage. I did not fully trust to get Vasilis car back after I knew everyone knew what kind of car he drove. They could easily plant another bomb under it and I would blame myself forever. I would rather have him angry at me than have him dead. I would have to come clean to him today if I wanted whatever we had to last.
I took my Lamborghini to my favorite car dealership and since I had called last night they were open. The benefit of being a billionaire was that you kind of got what you wanted when you wanted because you could afford it. When I got there Noah Johnson waited for me. Noah had been my dealer since I was eighteen and got my first car; a beautiful black bmw five series, but he had been in my life from the moment I was born. He was one of the best and worked with multiple celebrities and business people around the world to get them the car of their dreams. He had become a close family friend as well, him and my father played golf almost every weekend.
He was just a tad bit shorter than myself and even though he was in his late fifties he aged incredibly well. He had a few grey hairs in his dark brunette hair, but was cleanly shaven and always dressed in a sharp suit. "Eddie boy," he called out as I climbed out my car.
"Noah," I smiled and hugged him as he led me into the dealership. Multiple Porsches stood on the garage floor all with different colors and ranging in models.
"It's been a while since you've called at the early hours of the morning asking for me to get a car ready for you so quickly. Did you lose another bet to Amanda?" He chuckled as he showed me the first car.
"No I may have accidentally gotten rid of someones car," I shyly smiled.
"How you managed to do that is beyond me. Who's the special lady? The last time you came here was for the Selena girl," he winked.
If he was anyone else I would have snapped at him for mentioning Selena, but he was practically like a second father. He knew how much it hurt me when she left and like the good natured person he was he always tried to lighten the mood. "It's for a friend. Vasili I don't know if you've heard of him."
"Oh yes. The boy you're always with on the news. A Russian dancer yes?" We were in front of a Porsche 911 turbo gt3 rs sprayed in a beautiful gold. I kind of felt slightly jealous that I could not buy this for myself.
"This one is perfect," I smiled and ran my hand over the hood of the car.
"It's nearly 200k with all the bells and whistles," Noah said as he handed me a few papers to sign.
"It's fine. I kind of messed up yesterday so hopefully he will forgive me," I shrugged and signed all the necessary papers. "Make sure it is in his name I sent an email to you this morning with all his information."
"Cash payment or installment?"
"Cash."
Noah looked up to me with a somewhat knowing look. "This is a first. You must really care about this boy."
"I do. Could it be delivered in an hour before he wakes up and tries to cut my head off again," I chuckled and looked inside the car. It had a beautiful black leather interior with yellow embroidery. It was absolutely perfect for Vasili all his favorite colours in one car.
"Anything for you Eddie boy. Do you want roses and champagne as well. Maybe some chocolate covered strawberries and a giant bow?" He smirked. His American really came out at such times.
"A giant bow would be nice. Champagne also," I grinned like a Cheshire cat. "Please don't tell dad about this."
"I won't. Your mum would probably faint. Your secret is safe with me," he winked and handed me the final paper work. "Congratulations you are two hundred thousand euros less rich."
"A drop in the well," I waved my hand dismissively.
"You're so lucky you're my godson or I would have hit the back of your head," he laughed and hugged me. We went through a few minor details and caught up before I left then headed to a cafe to get some coffees and breakfast. I wanted to originally get my private chef to come over, but I was not sure how things would go over with Vasili.
When I returned I went upstairs and knocked on his bedroom door. "Go away!" He childishly yelled.
"I have ice coffees," I knew it was his weakness. After a few seconds the door roughly opened and like a flash one of the cups were snatched from my hand. "Good morning to you too," I chuckled and walked in. He quietly sipped on his ice coffee as he sat down on his bed. He seemed fresh out of the shower and was dressed in a black adidas tracksuit with matching sneakers.
"What do you want? Here to bribe me with food and delicacies," he glared at me as I sat down on one of the wind backs.
"I came to apologize," I smiled softly hoping he would hear me out. "I know what I did was wrong Vasili. It was never my intention to just do things without talking to you and I'm so sorry for that. I get wrapped up in my own world and I sometimes forget you might not want to move as fast as I do."
"Ed it's not even the fact you move fast you just forget this is hard for me. I know the car meant nothing and I could have easily just gotten myself another one, but my mum use to have a car like that. Ever... ever since I lost her I just couldn't get it out of my head. When I came here and found the exact colour, with the exact 2010 model I just felt this attachment to it. I know it's silly, but it means the world to me," it was the first time he had opened up to me at such a scale and I felt so honored that he felt comfortable enough to share that with me.
I quickly walked to the front of the bed and held his hands in mine, "I feel horrible for taking it away but I had a good reason."
"Proceed," he breathed out shakily.
"Before we went to the yacht I saw a man at the office. He was just suspicious. I know most of my employees and he just didn't fit the criteria so I asked John to check what happened whilst we were gone. We found that the man was doing something to your car but you unknowingly disturbed him as you rushed home. Whilst we were gone John found that a bomb was attached to the bottom of the car. I did not really plan for our trip to be cut short so soon so I did not get enough time to make sure it was back in time."
Vasili looked at me with the largest eyes I had ever seen on him. Pure shock and disbelief was etched onto his face as he blinked. "Why? I don't understand."
"It seems whoever this man is he was sent here to kill you," I held his hands tighter as I waited for his response.
"Greece? The shooting was that him?" He gasped finally connecting the dots, "is that why you screamed for me. Oh my god!"
"Yes. I'm so sorry that's why the guys were weird. They think you're putting me in danger," I sat down next to him and he instantly wrapped his arms around me.
"Oh gosh I'm so sorry Ed. I knew something was up but I didn't know it was this bad. This is all my fault," he was visibly stressed and concerned.
"No it's not. Look I don't know what's going on or why this person is after you, but John and I can figure it out if you let us. I promise I won't go into your life or your family just this person and if we find anything you can look over it first before me then you can decide to tell me or not okay."He rested his head on my shoulder and nodded. "I have a surprise for you."
"Is it the Lamborghini?" He smiled with a glint of evil on his eyes.
"No you lost your shot at that it's something better. Follow me," I took his hand in mine and led him to the garage as he sipped away on his drink.
When we reached the garage I took care in moving some of the cars away from the centre so the brand new Porsche could stand in the centre. A large red bow was put on the hood with a bottle champagne and two glasses. "Edward," he gasped and instantly ran to the car, "this is crazy!" He jumped in excitement and opened up the door. Not so gracefully he threw his body into the car and inspected the interior. "Is this seriously for me!"
"Yes," I laughed as he screamed like a teenage girl.
"Thank you!" He ran to me and threw his body into mine. I instantly caught him and spun him around. His lips attached to mine as soon as he was back on the floor in a rather feverish and desperate kiss.
"I guess you really like it then," I chuckled as he greedily planted kisses all over my face.
"A lot," he smiled from ear to ear and very suggestively ran his hand down my chest.
My head instantly went slightly dizzy by the way he was looking at me. The hunger in his eyes was painfully obvious. "Does that mean you want to go inside?"
"Yeah," he kissed me once again and gently bit my lower lip evoking a quiet groan from me. I wasted no time in leading us back up to my penthouse.
