Chapter 53 - Fusion Trench Part 1

"But sir this wasn't what was agreed on! If we were to this then-"

"The choice of when this begins, is down to my decisions. Do you perhaps have an objection to my judgement?" Asked a man who stood tall, overseeing the entire city that was shaped according to the vision of another.

A city that would soon be truly under his rule. As soon as his plan was complete, then his reign would remain uncontested. None would be able to stop him with the strongest duelists at his beck and call.

"I-no sir. But-"

"Then we shall start soon. Such is the good doctor's request after all." So said the flamboyant man to one of his faceless underlings, and his orders were obeyed.

-

She entered the warehouse that she was quite sure was one of the Academia's hidden bases, and right immediately it was clear that the place was not deserted.

As was evident by the fact that she now has several clearly Academia spies looking towards her. All known from the shield-like duel disk that lay on the table in front of them.

"Wha-"

"That's-"

"No way, it's her-! The Red Reaper!"

She sighed as she looked at the three panicking Academia people. "I guess something like this was expected." She muttered aloud as she extended her left hand, and with a flick, activated her duel disk. "It seems an extermination is in order. Do not try to run, it won't do you all any good."

"Kuh, we'll see! Everyone! Get ready!" One of them took charge, one with red hair, hastily attaching the typical Academia duel disk onto his hand and activating its blade-like duel blade. And the rest, a girl with short purple hair and a large boy with blue braided hair, followed suit, activating their own.

"We'll show this traitor the true strength of the Academia!" The red haired one shouted, backed up by the others as well.

"Yeah I doubt that." She said back.

""""DUEL!""""

Red Hat: 4000LP

Bernie: 4000LP

Emma: 4000LP

Jacob: 4000LP

And so began a 3v1 duel, and of course, she took the initiative. "Then I shall go first." She declared, taking the first turn to start her plays. "I will start by normal summoning Lonefire Blossom."

With that she placed her first card onto her duel blade, and the infamous Plant combo starter, and in some cases extender, appeared onto her side of the field. The plant-like creature blooming on the battlefield.

Lonefire Blossom - Fire/Plant/Level 3/Effect: 500/1400

"And then I'll use its effect." She declared aloud, immediately activating the monster's effect as soon as soon as it was clear that her opponent had nothing in response. "Once per turn, I can tribute one face-up Plant monster, to special summon another Plant monster from my deck."

Then she waved her hand forward, gesturing to the one and only monster on her field. "I will tribute Lonefire Blossom itself as cost." She said, and seeing no response from her opponents, as she had expected, proceeded with its effect. "And I will special summon Mardel, Generaider Boss of Light."

And with a flash of light the small budding flower disappeared from the field, and in its place came a gigantic monster that took on the form of a butterfly-winged lady, with luscious green hair and a dress of flowers.

And with that, a Generaider Boss descended onto the battlefield.

Mardel, Generaider Boss of Light - Light/Plant/Level 9/Effect: 2400/2400

"Wha-!"

"A Level 9 monster just like that!?"

"No way!?"

She ignored their surprised comments as she waved her hand again. "Mardel's effect." And declared the effect of her newly summoned monster. "If she is normal or special summoned, I can add one 'Generaider' card or one Plant monster from my deck to my hand, except another copy of Mardel."

Done with explaining the monster's effects, she proceeded to show the one that she would be adding to her hand. "I will add Vala, Seidhr of the Generaider Bosses from my deck to my hand." So she said, revealing said monster and then adding back to her hand of cards, then shuffled her hand.

"Then I will activate the Spell, Kuji-Kiri Curse." She continued, placing the Spell Card to her duel blade, and having its holographic projection shine before her.

"Kuji-Kiri Curse lets me send one Level 9 monster from my hand or face-up field to the graveyard in order to draw two cards." She explained its effects, then revealed the card that she had just added once more.

"I will discard Vala, Seidhr of the Generaider Bosses, to draw two cards." And she did just that, sending the monster to the grave to draw two additional cards, going even in card advantage.

She inspected the new cards in her now four card hand, and hummed as she shuffled it once more and continued on with her turn. "Then I will use the effect of Vala in my graveyard." She declared.

"If this card is in my hand or graveyard, I can send one other 'Genraider' monster from my hand to the graveyard to special summon this card, but it will be banished when it leaves the field." She explained the card's graveyard effect, then proceeded to pay its cost.

"I will send Harr, Generaider Boss of Storms from my hand, to special summon Vala onto the field." And then sprouts of gigantic grey scales appeared bursting from the ground below, and sitting on top of them was a red robed figure who waved her staff as she arrived onto the battlefield.

Vala, Seidhr of the Generaider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 9/Effect: 2500/2500

"Vala's effect." She declared again, activating the monster's effect as it hits the field. "If Vala is special summoned, I can special summon one 'Generaider' monster from my hand or graveyard except another copy of herself."

And took out the one and only target from her graveyard. "I will special summon back Harr, Generaider Boss of Storms." And came the decks most known monster, clad in a cloak of storms and carrying a staff of gold.

Harr, Generaider Boss of Storms - Dark/Spellcaster/Level 9/Effect: 3000/3000

"That's-"

"Three Level 9 monsters!?"

"No way, is she going to-"

"I'll take the Level 9 Mardel, Generaider Boss of Light and the Level 9 Vala, Seidhr of the Generaider Bosses, and overlay them." Such was the declaration she made as she raised her right hand, and the two gigantic monsters let out their cries as they turned into golden and crimson pillars of light respectively.

Then as was the norm of summoning an XYZ Monster, a giant vortex of black and gold appeared right before her. "I will create an overlay network with these two monsters, XYZ Summon."

With that command, the two pillars of light danced around one another, before they then entered the galactical vortex, and as soon as they did, it exploded into a pillar of light.

"XYZ Summon." She said as she brought her hand down, completing the simplest summoning chant possible.

"Appear, blazing sword that heralds the end. Laevatein, Generaider Boss of Shadows." And the pillar of light morphed to one of fire, one that was cut in half, and from it a demonic and monstrous form of Loptr appeared onto the field, on its right hand floated a glowing burning magical sigil, a sign of the Generaiders while it wielded a large burning blade in the other.

The demonic fairy let out a maddening cackle as it rose ahead of her, the mass of tentacles supporting its now large form, with two glowing red overlay materials orbiting around the summoned XYZ Monster.

Laevatein, Generaider Boss of Shadows - Fire/Fairy/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 2500/2500 OV: 2

"WHA-WHAT IS THAT!?"

"N-no way!? A Rank 9 XYZ Monster!?"

"O-on the first turn too!?"

Once more she ignored their chatters as she continued with her turn. "I will be setting two cards face-down." She said, placing two of the remaining three cards in her hand on her spell and trap zone. "And I will end my turn."

Then she proceeded to end her turn, ending with a board of monsters, one being an XYZ and the other being her signature monster of choice, along with two backrow set on her spell and trap zone, with one card left in her hand.

Though she hadn't ended with the Field Spell, it was merely a temporary setback. It was one of the positives of using some of the lesser used Generaider cards.

"Tch, f-fine then! It's my turn!" And as per the rules of the battle royal, the red haired boy did not draw for the start of his turn, and could only use the five cards in his starting hand, nor could he even declare battle.

Then, as soon as he entered the Standby Phase, it was time for her to actually perform an experiment. "On the Standby Phase, I will activate the Trap, Generaider Boss Fight." So she declared as she flipped up one of her two set cards, revealing the Generaider Trap card that she had opened in her five card hand.

Then, as the card's holographic projection before her began to glow, she explained its effects. "Generaider Boss Fight allows me to activate one 'Generaider' Field Spell directly from my deck or graveyard, then my opponent can draw one card."

"Wait-are you serious? You're letting us all draw one card?!" The red haired boy blinked as he then let out a laugh, a mocking grin on his face. "Well sure! Go ahead! Set your Field Spell or whatever and give us all a draw why don't you!"

"W-Bernie!"

Uncaring of their inner banter, the card's effect then resolved. Having no Field Spell on her graveyard, she sets the archetypal Field Spell directly from her deck. And as the floor began to be cloaked in a fog of darkness, a giant symbol began to shine above them all.

And then the card's effect continues to resolve, and all three of the Academian spies drew a card from their deck.

With that, she could activate her cards of choice. "Then I will activate the effect of Generaider Boss Stage, and I will chain the effect of Harr as well." She declared, chaining the activation of the two cards who had met their activation conditions.

"Wha" "Huh-" "How-"

"Once per turn, if my opponent adds a card from the deck to their hand, except during the Draw Phase, I can make them send one monster of their choice from their hand or field to the graveyard."

And with how the Trap had affected all of them before, then it was only logical that this one should affect them all as well shouldn't it?

"N-no way!? It affects all of us!?" The red haired boy screeched with wide eyes, before frantically going through his six card hand with gritted teeth. "Fine! I'll send Ancient Gear Hunting Hound to the graveyard!"

"Kuh! I'll send Ancient Gear Soldier from my hand to my graveyard." The purple haired girl said reluctantly.

"... Then I shall send Ancient Gear Golem to the grave." The largest of the three answered with a grunt, sending the card in hand to the grave.

With that end of Harr's effect resolved, she continued to resolve the chain of effects. "And then Generaider Boss Stage's effect." She declared as she then began to explain the Field Spell's effect.

"Once per turn, if a card is added from the Main Deck to your hand, I can special summon one 'Genraider' monster from my deck in defence position." She explained calmly, waving her hand forwards as the glow of the gigantic symbol that flew above them took on an ominous red.

And the effects resolved. "I will special summon Loptr, Shadow of the Generaider Bosses in defence position." And of the symbols glowed a crimson colour, shining a light down onto her side of the field, and from it came her chosen monster.

And with that she summoned the deck's one and only in-archetype normal summonable monster during her opponent's turn. The fairy in the guise of a man giving her opponent a condescending smile as he bowed at his entrance.

Loptr, Shadow of the Generaider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 1500/1500

The red haired boy, being ever talkative, clicked his tongue. "Another monster!?"

"And while Loptr is on the field, all 'Generaider' monsters that I control gains 1000 attack and defence during the opponent's turn, including himself." And with that, the many monsters on her side of the field were cloaked in auras of energy, their strength boosted by Loptr's mere presence.

Harr, Generaider Boss of Storms - Dark/Spellcaster/Level 9/Effect: 4000/4000

Laevatein, Generaider Boss of Shadows - Fire/Fairy/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 3500/3500 OV: 2

Loptr, Shadow of the Generaider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 2500/2500

"W-wha-"

"4-4000 attack!?"

"A-an even that Level 4 monster is huge too!?"

"Then Generaider Boss Stage's effect activates." She continued on. "If I special summon a 'Generaider' monster during your turn, I can special summon as many 'Generaider Tokens' as possible in attack position, but they are destroyed during the End Phase."

The effect resolves, and with a wave of her hand, the rest of her field was then filled by tokens. "Come, Generaider Tokens." She said as the gigantic symbol above the field sent a pulse of energy once more

And from it came a duo of fluttering angels, dancing across the field next to all of her other monsters.

Generaider Token - Light/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 1500/1500

Generaider Token - Light/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 1500/1500

"M-more monsters!? That's-that's a full board of them!?"

"No way, and it's on our turn too!?"

"That's just…"

"And with Loptr on the field, both their attack and defence increases by 1000." She added on, and the two newly summoned fairies too glowed with an empowering aura as both their attacks and defence were increased.

Generaider Token - Light/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 2500/2500

Generaider Token - Light/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 2500/2500

Then she gestured towards the red haired boy. "Well? Do continue your turn." She said, adding with a tilt of her head.

"Wh-why you! Fine then! See how you like it! I'll activate the Spell, Polymerization!" He roared loudly as he slammed the card onto his duel bale. "Bet you already know what this card does! I'll fuse the two other Ancient Gear Hunting Hound in my hand!"

Internally she baffled at how he essentially had drawn a three off of the monster, and quite surprised that he hadn't bothered summoning one of them and using its effects to burn before fusing.

The two figures of the mechanical hounds briefly manifested before him, and the red haired boy raised both of his hands as he began a chant. "Mechanical hounds who carry on the ancient spirits, flock together and become one with new power!"

The two mechanical monstrosities were then absorbed into a vortex of orange and blue. He then clasped both hands together, and brought them down as he finished the chant. "Fusion Summon! Appear now! Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!"

And the newly summoned twin headed behemoth let out an ungodly mechanical roar as it hit the field.

Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound - Earth/Machine/Fusion/Level 5/Effect: 1400/1000

Ah right, there was also this wasn't it? "Then Laevatein's continuous effect would then affect Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound." She declared with wave of her hand, as the demonic fairy laughed with manic glee, straddling her enemies.

"Huh-!?"

"All monsters that my opponent controls loses 1000 attack and defence while Laevatein is on the field." She said as she tilted her head, and the blade wielding XYZ Monster cackled maniacally as it sent a wave of flames with a swing of its blade, lowering the power of the newly summoned Fusion Monster.

Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound - Earth/Machine/Fusion/Level 5/Effect: 400/0

"N-no way! M-my Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!" The red haired teen lamented as he glanced at his weakened Fusion Monster, before snapping his head and growling at her own Extra Deck summoned monster, balling his hand into fists.

"N-no way! Doesn't that mean that there's always a-a 2000 attack point difference!?"

"That's…"

Yet such wasn't even the end of his turn, because the red haired boy still had some cards left in his hands. "I'll set the rest of my hand face-down!" He shouted out loudly, setting the remainder of the cards in his hands, no doubt intending to end their turn. "Then I'll-"

"Hm, so it's like that then." Such a strange way of using the cards in his hand as well. "Then as before you move out of the Main Phase, I'll be using Loptr's effect." She declared, waving a hand forward, and then began explaining the monster's effect.

"During the Main Phase, as a Quick Effect, I can tribute one 'Generaider' monster that I control to special summon one Level 9 'Generaider' monster with a different name from my deck."

And then continued on with the cost of its effects. "I will tribute one of my tokens to activate his effect." So she said as she tributed one of the two tokens that she had, and removed it from the field.

The effects then resolved, and at the place where the token once had been, and a gigantic flying castle took its place. The illusory castle flew right beside her other monsters.

Utgarda, Generaider Boss of Delusions - Light/Rock/Level 9/Effect: 2200/2700

Which was then promptly boosted from the effect of Loptr.

Utgarda, Generaider Boss of Delusions - Light/Rock/Level 9/Effect: 3200/3700

"A-another Level 9 monster!?"

"Well? Do continue with your turn." She called him out once more, to the strangely haired boy. "Anything else that you want to do for the turn?"

"Khhh! Why you-! I end my turn!" The red haired boy shouted aloud, going to the End Phase with a board consisting of a Fusion Monster and two set cards, and nothing else remaining in his hand.

"Then I'll be using the effect of Urgarda during the End Phase." She declared, continuing to play during her opponent's turn. "As a Quick Effect, I can tribute two two 'Generaider' monsters and or Rock monsters, then target one card on the field and banish it"

As she finished explaining the monster's effects, she then proceeded to then tribute the required costs to activate its effects. "I will tribute Utgarda itself and the last remaining Generaider Token, to target the first backrow that you have, and remove it from play

And intending to systematically dismantle her opponent's field, she proceeded to then promptly remove it from the field, revealing it to be Fusion Reserve.

"Wha-! N-no way!" The crimson haired Academia duelist shouted with wide eyes as stumbled and took a step back, before he stabilised himself by shaking his head wildly and shouted. "W-well so what! I still have my Fusion Monster on the field."

"So it would seem." She said with a hum, "then of course the attack and defence gain from Loptr would disappear." She noted aloud, as the turn players change, and as it was still during her opponent's turn, Loptr's attack and defence increase remained.

And the next one to test their mettle was the only girl of the group, said purple haired girl gulped as she placed her hand right atop of her duel disk's deck holder. "T-then it;s my turn!" She declared, and once more she did not draw to start her turn due to the battle royal's rule.

Which was a shame, as it would have triggered her Field Spell's effects. But she has other things that she could do for that.

Then the girl began her turn, scrambling through her five card hand to search for something-anything that she could use in an attempt to combat her board of monsters.

Then she properly began her Main Phase, as she played her first card of the turn. "I'll normal summon Ancient Gear Wyvern!" She shouted as she placed the monster card onto her duel blade, and the winged mechanical dragon made its way onto the field with a screech.

Ancient Gear Wyvern - Earth/Machine/level 4/Effect: 1700/1200

Who was then bathed in a torrent of flames, as her XYZ Monster's mere existence lowered both its attack and defence.

Ancient Gear Wyvern - Earth/Machine/level 4/Effect: 700/200

"And I'll activate its effect!" Then she proceeded to activate its effect, waving her hand outwards while doing so. Oh well would you look at that, it's like they don't even have object permanence.

"This card lets me add one 'Ancient Gear' card from my deck to my hand, but I can't set cards for the rest of the turn!" She explained the effects, which resolved and allowed her to add the infamous Earth Machine card. "And I'll add Ancient Gear Hunting Hound to my hand!"

Then with the effect resolved, a chain of effects begun due to the girl's actions. "Well then, I will activate the effect of Generaider Boss Stage, along with the effect of Harr." She said, once more activating the effect of the two cards in conjunction.

"Wha-that's-"

"The effects wasn't just by drawing!?"

"Unbelievable…"

Then came her turn to resolve the chain of effects. "Then with the effect of Harr, I'll have all of you send one monster either from your hand or field." And glanced at the red haired boy who had done his turn. "And as the only monster on your field is that fusion of yours, it would seem that you would have to send it to the graveyard."

"Gkh!" He jerked and stumbled upon hearing that, and snapped his head to the only monster that he could possibly send, what with Him having no other cards in hand. "N-no! My Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!" he cried out as the monster vanished into particles of light, being sent to his graveyard.

But he wasn't the only one who was affected by the effect of course, as the only girl in their group clicked her tongue in annoyance as she perused through the hand of cards that she possessed.

But then, inspiration seemed to strike her as her eyes widened, and she waved her hand out as fast as she could. "I'll send my face-up Ancient Gear Wyvern!" She shouted, opting to send her singular monster that she had used her normal summon on instead of sending a card from her hand.

Then came the last of the three, the largest of them never losing his frown as his hand size kept reducing. "I will discard an Ancient Gear Box." He said, lowering to four cards in hand.

"Then of course, the effect of Boss Stage resolves." She declared. "And I will special summon a second Vala from my deck." And the red robed fairy returned, riding atop of the gigantic scales of Jormungandr.

Vala, Seidhr of the Generaider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 9/Effect: 2500/2500

Of course as Loptr still remained, the third Fire Fairy monster on her field received strengthening in both her attack and defence points.

Vala, Seidhr of the Generaider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 9/Effect: 3500/3500

"And then Vala's effect, I will special summon back one Generaider monster from my graveyard." She said, opting not to use the Field Spell's second effect as it would clog up her monster zones. "I will summon back Utgarda."

She took back the card from her duel disk's graveyard slot and placed the card back onto her duel blade, letting it manifest once more onto the field in its defensive position.

Utgarda, Generaider Boss of Delusions - Light/Rock/Level 9/Effect: 2200/2700

Which was then, once more, promptly boosted from Loptr's effect.

Utgarda, Generaider Boss of Delusions - Light/Rock/Level 9/Effect: 3200/3700

"The one that banishes is back!?" The girl screeched as she stumbled back again, balling her hands into fists as she scrambled through the cards in her hand for a way to do something meaningful during this turn.

Then her eyes widened, as she found something to do. "Right! I'll use the Spell, Ancient Gear Double Imitate!" She shouted aloud, placing the card onto her duel blade and have its holographic projection shine before her. "Which lets me target up to two 'Ancient Gear' monster in either player's graveyard, and special summon them but their effects are negated!"

And she then waved her hand out as she shouted the targets for her card's effect. "I'll target Bernie's Ancient Gear Hunting Hound and Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!"

She hadn't seen that card in quite a while, so their decks were made specifically for battle royals like this then? She should have expected that the Academia would rely on tricks like these.

But it was about time that she used it anyway. "Then I will use the effect of Laevatein." She declared, and the fiery XYZ Monster let out their maniacal laughter that echoed throughout the building.

"That things' other effect?!"

"No way!?"

"Another effect that could be activated on our turn!?"

"As a Quick Effect, Ican tribute this XYZ Summoned monster, to special summon one non-Fairy 'Generaider' XYZ Monster from my Extra Deck, then I can attach cards from any field and or graveyards to that special summoned monster as materials up to the numbers of materials this card had."

Finished with explaining the monster's effect, she waved her hand upwards. "Burn away, Laevatein." And the XYZ Monster in question cackled as it brought its blade high above its head, and slammed it down onto the ground creating a large tremor throughout the building.

A pillar of flame burned from the strike, consuming the XYZ Monster in its entirety, as a different being awoke from the strike. "Awaken, Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity." And from the pillar of fire came a titanic serpentine monster, one that seemed to stretch to infinity itself, opening its large maw to let out a roar that shook the building. Standing before her defensively in defence position.

Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: ?/? OV: 0

Of course like all other Generaider monsters beside it, the titanic XYZ Monster was also boosted by the presence of the original Loptr.

Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 1000/1000 OV: 0

Though with the disappearance of Laevatein, the attack and defence reduction that it possessed too disappeared from the field. Though no monsters on the opposing side of the field remained for the effect to be seen.

"That-a Rank 9 with basically 0 attack?" The red haired boy shouted with a confused blink, before snorting as he regained his bravado. "Ha! You really think something like that can beat all of us together!"

"Bernie! Stop it!" The purple haired girl chided him once more.

"As Laevatein has two materials, I can attach two cards to Jormungandr as materials." She continued on, muting out their pratling. "I will attach both cards that you targeted with Ancient Gear Double Imitation."

"Huh-!?"

The serpentine monster opened it maw once more as the two monsters of her choosing briefly appeared back onto the field. Only for them to disappear as they were consumed by the titanic grey serpent, turning them into floating brown overlay units that orbited its large frame.

Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 1000/1000 OV: 2

"Jormungandr's original attack and defences becomes 1000 times the number of materials that it posses." She informed them. "So with two of them, its original attack and defence becomes 2000." Without the addition of Loptr's attack and defence boost of course.

Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 3000/3000 OV: 2

The Spell's effect then resolved as best as it could, which was to say that it essentially resolved without effect, what with both of the declared targets having moved from their targeted locations and all.

"Darn it! So it can just do that!?" The girl shouted in frustration, getting clearly heated by the amount of interruption she possessed.. "Well fine then! I'll activate the Spell card, Fusion Sage!"

And shouting so she activated the spell, with it shining in front of her. "Which would let me add one 'Polymerization' from my deck to my hand!" She declared, playing the incredibly simple search card from her hand.

She contemplated on whether or not she should interact with it, she only did have four cards left in hand, and with the pool of Fusion Monsters that Ancient Gear, the best that they could have would either be Megaton Golem or Howitzer.

But there was something that she had noted during her time back in that dimension, was that Howitzer was supposed to be a rare card, something that only the elite of the Academia would have.

It was mostly likely the reason as to why that red haired boy whose name she bothered to not remembered even fused into Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound instead of it, most likely because he doesn't have it.

She couldn't set cards for the turn due to Wyvern, and yet she still had three cards in hand. If any of them had been any set cards of some kind then she would have set them earlier before she normal summoned.

If she was adding Polymerization, then most likely the cards that she had in her hand was simply fusion fodder. And though she could just wait and interact with that instead, this would essentially do the same.

"Then I will use the effect of Harr." She declared, waving a hand outwards once more towards the storm cloaked monster before her.

"That thing has more effects!?"

"Wha-Just how many effects does your cards have?!"

"No way…"

"Once per turn, when a card or effect is actuated, as a Quick Effect, I can tribute two 'Generaider' and or Spellcaster monsters, to negate the activation, and if I do, destroy that card." She said, explaining Harr's hard once per turn negation effect.

Then, continued to pay the cost of its effects. "I will tribute both Harr itself and Vala as cost of Harr's own effect." She said as she waved her right hand upwards, tributing the two gigantic monsters on her field as they turned into glittering fragments of light.

With nothing to respond to it however, the chain then resolved backwards, and with Harr's effect the Spell card's effect was promptly negated.

"Guh!" Her opponent bellowed, as she once more scrambled through the content of their hand, but sadly found nothing that she could do.

"I-I end-" She began to see, yet she interjected.

"Then, at the declaration of the end of the Main Phase, I will activate Loptr's effect." She declared aloud. "I will tribute Loptr itself to special summon another 'Generaider' monster from my deck, I will summon Hela, Generaider Boss of Doom."

With her opponents having no way to prevent her, Loptr disappeared from the field in a flash, and from the depths of the underworld called upon the horned woman who carried a staff clad in a black frayed cape and a regal black dress with golden linings. Summoned forth to her side of the field in defence position just like every other monster on her field.

Hela, Generaider Boss of Doom - Dark/Zombie/Level 9/Effect: 800/2800

And all the attacks of the monsters that remained on her field turned to normal with Loptr's disappearance.

Utgarda, Generaider Boss of Delusions - Light/Rock/Level 9/Effect: 2200/2700

Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 2000/2000 OV: 2

"T-the attack and defence increase in gone!"

"But it's still three monsters…"

"..." The third one of their group opted to remain silent this time.

"And once more Generaider Boss Stage's effect activates." She declared. "And since I special summoned a 'Generaider' monster during my opponents turn,  I will special summon as many 'Generaider Tokens' as possible once more. Come."

She waved her hand forwards once more, and a flash of light came from the gigantic symbol in the sky and the empty spots of her field were once more filled by tokens.

Generaider Token - Light/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 1500/1500

Generaider Token - Light/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 1500/1500

"These things again!" The red one shouted again.

"So, will you end your turn then?" She asked again, and the purple haired girl slowly nodded her head, confirming her decision of moving into the End Phase and ending her turn with an empty board and three cards in her hand.

"Then during the End Phase-"

"You're still doing more!?"

"I will use the effect of Utgarda, tributing itself and one of the tokens that I possessed, to banish that set card." She said, pointing to the one and only card on her collective opponent's side of the field, that being the red's second set card.

The gigantic castle of delusions once more disappeared from the field, alongside one of the two shining white fairies that had just appeared onto her field, taking themselves off of her field to banish the single last card that red possessed.

And the effect resolved of course, and banished the set card which was… Fusion Trench? That was their floodgate of choice? That's just… sad.

She didn't let go of her advantage however, and kept going. "I will activate Hela's effect." She declared ignoring the red one's interjection. "As a Quick Effect, I can tribute a 'Generaider' monster or a Zombie monster, then target one 'Generaider' monster or a Zombie monster in my graveyard with a different name than the tributed monster had on the field, and special summon that monster in defence position."

As she explained the monster's effect, the witch-like dark monster started raising her staff, the fog beneath her feet starting to dissipate as the ground quaked and the astral spirits that accompanied her appeared more in numbers.

"I will tribute the last token to summon back Harr onto the field." And returning onto the field was the Boss of Storms, resummoned onto the field by Hela as it stared down on her opponents with its singular shining red eyes.

Harr, Generaider Boss of Storms - Dark/Spellcaster/Level 9/Effect: 3000/3000

And finally, she could do it again. The titular combo of Generaider. "Then I will activate the effect of Jormungandr." She declared, using the effect of the newly summoned XYZ Monster that she had cheated out with Laevatein.

"Of course that XYZ also has an effect that she could use willy nilly-!"

"As a Quick Effect, I can detach one material from this, and have each player draw one card." She said, as the gigantic grey serpent opened its large maw, and consumed one of the two overlay units that it possessed, lowering its attack in the process.

Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 1000/1000 OV: 1

"A free draw… no, at this point it has to be…" The purple one muttered as they all drew a card from Jormungandr's effect, replenishing the cards that they possessed in hand.

So she continued on with the monster's effect. "Then each player that drew attaches one card from their hand or field to this card as material." She explained, showing a card from her own hand. "I will attach the Spell, Terraforming to it as material." So she said.

"Wha-but if I only have one card then-GHHH!" Red hair gritted his teeth as the card that he had just drawn disappeared from his grasp as it was taken by Jormungadr's effect, revealing it to be the Spell, Ancient Gear Workshop.

"I'll… attach an Ancient Gear Hunting Hound." Purple hair said with defeat as she gave one of the cards, the card that she had searched even, returning to three cards as she had essentially started with.

"... I will attach Ancient Gear Inspection." The third one said, giving up a card from his hand for the XYZ Monster to devour.

And devoured them it did, as a single activation of the monster had netted it four overlay units, giving it an incredible boost in attack and defence due to its own effect.

Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 5000/5000 OV: 5

"5-5000!?"

"N-no way! That-that much attack is just-!?"

"..."

"But of course, as a card was added to your hand, Harr's effect activates." She declared. "Which would have you-"

"Wha-No! You already activated that monster's effects didn't you!" The annoying one shouted.

"Harr's first effect is a soft once per turn, and as this one was newly summoned it hasn't activated it, so it is now." She promptly shut him down. "Now do send another monster card from your hand or field if possible."

The shouty one could only grit his teeth as he had nothing to give, with no cards in hand or field to fulfil Harr's player targeting effect. The second one bit her lip as the cards in her hand were essentially being lowered to two. "I will send another Ancient Gear Hunting Hound…"

"..." And the stoic one narrowed his eyes as he glanced down at his four card hand. "... I will send Ancient Gear Hunting Hound as well." And sent the titular monster of the Academia from his hand to the graveyard, lowering to three cards now in his hand.

"Now then, I believe it's your turn." She said as she turned her head towards the third one of their little trio.

"... Then I will begin my turn." He said, beginning his turn with an extremely lowered hand, essentially having been hand ripped for two.

"Then at the Standby Phase, I will do the same once more and use the effect of Jormungandr." She said with a tilt of her head, and the XYZ Monster let out a roar as it consumed one of its XYZ Units once again.

Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 4000/4000 OV: 4

"N-no way, you're just going to do it all over again!?"

"It's-it's over…"

"..."

Yet they could do nothing but comply, and attached onto the XYZ Monster more cards for its ever growing array of materials, from herself a second Lonefire Blossom, red's drawn Ancient Gear Knight, the girl's Ancient Gear Gadget, and the third's Ancient Gear Statue.

Now with eight whole cards orbiting around it, the endless grey serpent was strong enough to defeat an opponent in a single blow even in the normal format that she had known.

Jormungandr, Generaider Boss of Eternity - Earth/Reptile/XYZ/Rank 9/Effect: 8000/8000 OV: 8

"Then of course, Boss Stage's effect activates, and I will chain Harr's effect again." She said with a wave, chaining the effect of the two cards in quick succession. "Send a monster from your hand or field."

Once more, red had nothing to contribute. The others however, could do so. "... I-I'll send my last Ancient Gear Hunting Hound." She said, sending her third and last copy of the monster that she had.

The third one however, "I have no monster cards in my hand." He declared aloud, revealing that in the three cards that he had, none of them were monsters. She frowned at hearing that and glanced down at her duel disk, and seeing as there doesn't seem to be a rule violation of any kind, let it slide.

There could be a chance that they have modded their duel disks to allow them to blatantly cheat, and she truly doesn't doubt that they would stoop to something that low, but she could still deal with that.

"Then with Boss Stage's effect I will special summon the last copy of Vala, Seidhr of the Generaider Bosses." She declared as the last copy of the monster was summoned from her deck, sitting atop the coiling serpent that emerged from the ground, returning onto the field once more.

Vala, Seidhr of the Generaider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 9/Effect: 2500/2500

"And with Vala's effect I will summon back Utgarda." And with a wave of her shining staff, the castle of delusions returned onto the field, filling her board to full once more.

Utgarda, Generaider Boss of Delusions - Light/Rock/Level 9/Effect: 2200/2700

"Her board is full of monsters again-!"

"No way, no way, there's just no way…"

".... so this is… the Red Reaper…"

"Go ahead, we're out of the Standby Phase now." She said, urging the third one to continue on with his turn. "If you hurry up I could get this done quickly."

"Why you-"

"Bernie please…"

"... I will activate the Spell, Ancient Gear Double Imitation!" The third one shouted, raising his voice as he slammed the card onto his duel blade, and placed it onto his duel blade. The holographic projection of the spell appeared before him. "I'll summon back two Ancient Gear Hunting Hounds!"

"That card again?" She muttered. "Then I will activate Harr's effect. I will tribute itself and Utgarda to negate and destroy it." And it did just that, with her sacrificing two of her four monsters that she had to negate the card and its effects, then destroying it.

"Tch!" The third flinched from the resulting chain of effects, but still had two cards in his hand, none of which were monsters. "But that's what I've been waiting for! Now I'll use the Spell, Ancient Gear Scrap Fusion!"

The card's projection appeared before him again, an Ancient Gear card that she vaguely remembered but personally had never played. "This card lets me Fusion Summon one 'Ancient Gear' Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck, using monsters from my graveyard as Fusion Materials by banishing them, but its effects are negated!"

"A Miracle Fusion for Ancient Gears?" She whispered under her breath, it's a neat card, but as it negates the effect of what it summoned, it wasn't as good as the example that she had given.

But well, with how most Ancient Gear Fusion Monsters were essentially more or less beatsticks anyway, they were all vanillas in all but name.

"I will banish my Ancient Gear Golem, Ancient Gear Box, and Ancient Gear from my graveyard, and fuse them all!" The third one shouted as he raised his hand, and continued to chant.

"Ancient Giants! Mechanical marvels! Become one now and demonstrate your tremendous power!" He shouted as all three monsters that he had sent to the graveyard through Harr's effect briefly appeared onto the field, all slowly floating before the green and blue vortex of light as they were disassembled into parts.

Then he brought down his hand, completing the chant. "Fusion Summon! Come forth! Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem!"

The second Fusion Monster of the game then appeared onto the field, taking the form of a gigantic mechanical monster of Ancient Gear Golem with its lower half reminiscent of a centaur, and its left hand not taking an even more mechanical feel with its dull metallic grey armour and sharp claws, along with the gigantic gear on it.

Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem - Earth/Machine/Fusion/Level 10/Effect: 4400/3400

But well, she might as well be using her last piece of interaction for now then. "Then I will use the effect of Hela once more." She declared. "I will tribute Vala to special summon back Utgarda."

And with that declaration she waved her hand forward, the horned cloaked monster waved her dark staff and brought back the castle of delusions back onto the field at the cost of tributing crimson robed Vala, summoned in defence position.

Utgarda, Generaider Boss of Delusions - Light/Rock/Level 9/Effect: 2200/2700

"And once more, I'll activate the second effect of Boss Stage. I will summon two more tokens. Come, Generaider Tokens." And again, two floating tokens of light appeared, descending down from the large symbol floating above their heads.

Generaider Token - Light/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 1500/1500

Generaider Token - Light/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 1500/1500

"Then I will activate the effect of Utgarda." She said as they entered an open gamestate once more. "I will tribute the two summoned tokens, to target and banish that new Fusion Monster of yours."

She said, pointing towards the newly summoned gigantic monster, and the two fairies of light turned into motes that was then absorbed into the giant castle of delusions, empowering it and allowing it to use its ability.

A streak of light was released by the floating castle, striking the giant mechanical centaur, its effect resolving as it was then banished away from the field. And as it was banished and not destroyed, the floating effect that it had was not triggered.

"..." The third one was left silent once more, and could only do one thing with the singular card left in his hand. "I will end my turn." Which was to proceeded to end his turn, ending without a singular card on his field, and but one card in his hand.

"Then it's my turn then, I'll draw." And finally she began her second turn, drawing a card to add to her hand and beginning her turn where she now has a Battle Phase.

In truth none of the cards in her hand truly mattered other than one. "I'll start by using the effect of one of my Valas' in my graveyard, I will discard the Spell, Generaider Boss Quest to summon her back in attack position."

And as she sent the Spell Card from her hand to the grave as its cost, the red robed monster reappeared once again, gracing the field with her presence.

Vala, Seidhr of the Generaider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 9/Effect: 2500/2500

"I will use Vala's effect to special summon back Loptr from my graveyard." She continued on, and with a wave of Vala's wand summoned back the blonde haired humanoid fairy back from the graveyard onto the field in attack position also.

Loptr, Shadow of the Generaider Bosses - Fire/Fairy/Level 4/Effect: 1500/1500

"And finally, I'll use Loptr's effect." She declared with a wave of her hand, "I'll tribute Hela to special summon a second Harr from my deck in attack position." The tattered cloaked Hela then disappeared, and in her place took Harr, summoned in attack position just like all the others.

Harr, Generaider Boss of Storms - Dark/Spellcaster/Level 9/Effect: 3000/3000

"T-that's-!"

"This can't be-! No one can possibly be this strong!"

"... Impossible…"

"I'll switch both Utgarda and Jormungandr to attack, and now, Battle." She declared, switching both of her remaining monsters who were in defence to attack position and entered the Battle Phase.

And with no monsters in any of their respective fields, it was as simple as declaring an attack. "Go, end this charade of a duel." Her monsters then struck, dividing its forces to deal lethal damage to each and every one of her opponents.

"GYAAAAA!" "KYAAAAA!" "GUAAAGH!" And all three of them were sent flying from the resulting offensive strikes, the singular battle phase dealing far over lethal damage that drained all three of their respective Life Points down to zero.

Emma: 0LP

And with that, the duel ended. Their defeat was swift, and their bodies crumpled on the ground, defeated and unconscious.
