"Hahaha! That was so amazing!" Claire said as she spun around like a ballet dancer, such was the joy that she was feeling. Dean found that attitude quite childish and cute. Sometimes, even the mature Claire knew how to switch the button and show other sides of hers without any inhibition.
"I didn't know that the cuisine here in Refuge Sarah was so tasty like this! I still have to go to that restaurant again and get the recipe with the chef... Even if I need to torture him for this..."
"Hey, don't be so creepy all of a sudden, really," Dean said while looking to the sides and seeing that some people were passing by and looking at Claire with caution.
She was an Ascendant, after all. They could feel it from far away. If she really wanted to torture a chef to get his secret recipe, she would be able to do it in the public square and yet leave the refuge by the front gates. That was just how oppressive Ascendants could be.
