"So... what do you want to do now that we have a few days off? Don't tell me you are going to work..." Ryan asked Matthew. He was feeling bored now that Paul was away. People were separating and going in different directions. That was the very first time when Grand Crusade departed like that. They were always together during the last few months.
Now, all those warriors were going to their homelands to visit their family, their friends, their favorite places, or do their favorite activities, play around, drink like crazy, eat as if it was the last time... All this sort of thing that people who knew they could die would generally do.
"Hey, Ryan," Matthew seemed not to pay attention or ignore his question. He preferred to comment about something, instead. "Isn't it curious how human beings act?"
Ryan was bothered by being ignored. He wanted to ignore the man just like he did, but decided to just answer. When Matthew got ruminant like that, nobody in that world could ever stop him.
