Dean finally got back to his wits when he felt someone holding him tightly. That pillar of "Chaos" shooting up to the skies vanished as suddenly as it appeared. Dean had his hands clenched tightly and his eyes were wide open, though it seemed like he had them closed all the time. He was gritting his teeth hard enough to feel his jaw and gums in pain.
'I was feeling too much hatred. So much that I got even blind by this feeling. I can't even remember now what triggered me so much. I can't even...', he looked to the side and saw that Claire was hugging him tightly, her face buried in his back.
'Huh? What happened here?' he looked left to right, trying to remember even the slightest thing.
As he saw the destruction around, he recollected the previous fight and the way it ended.
