Both Susan and Clay watched flabbergasted as that army of ambassadors came back to life. It was even more frightening than seeing their bodies getting rebuilt by Joanne. They felt like their heart just stopped when seeing that scene.
It was common sense for Ascendants that there were some things that "Willpower" could not do, even if someday appeared a rank 10 Ascendant. Creating or rebuilding life was one of these things. The only and last time that something of the sort happened was in Nemesis when a certain Ascendant could resurrect someone using his Last Wish.
However, that event was something entirely different and with an otherworldly magnitude. The Last Wish was something that surpassed human logic and common sense. The energy released by an Ascendant at this moment is something way above the ranks of Art of Ascendance or anything like this.
