"I know that you can hear me. I doubt that someone like you would ever allow yourself to sleep so heavily," Lopez said. His voice was serious like never before.
Clay got up from the floor, sitting. He didn't turn to Lopez, though.
"What's it, Lopez? I am feeling quite exhausted, so I would like to enjoy to the fullest this one hour that I have to sleep," Clay said with a sleepy voice. He wasn't pretending to be sleepy and tired at all. Indeed, he barely could come up with something on his mind to say to him. He was alert, totally alert, but his body wasn't. He didn't even know whether he would be able to fight or flight there if needed.
"You heard, what I said, right? Aren't you surprised?"
