'Ok... I need to find a way to investigate those guys dressed in white before they can go further into the refuge. Depending on how good their informants are, they probably already know where Paul is staying at. If that's really the case, I can't waste time here.'
Matthew was concerned about how much information they had about Paul, Ryan, and him. It would be more advantageous for them if only Paul was known by the Church, however, they couldn't count on their luck.
'Even if they know something about me and Ryan, they can't do anything about us. I mean, Ryan is far away from here, which is something good already. Besides, I bet that they would prefer to take me as a hostage to threaten Paul rather than simply kill me. I can use the hostage situation in my favor easily if I think a little bit about it. I am confident that the events will turn in my favor either way.'
