"I think that you are looking good," Elise commented after seeing Clay wearing the new clothes that Rick gave to him. Those were of high quality and provided more protection to him, something that his old cloak and worn-out clothes didn't do.
For Ascendants, armors weren't needed at all. Just "Willpower" was able to serve as a protection, and one way better than any armor out there. However, it was still worth it to wear armor for times when they would need to spend less energy in the battle and should stop to enhance their bodies with more resistance. Also, if the person was proficient enough dealing with "Willpower", they could enhance not only weapons but armors as well, which was quite useful and boosted the defense two times more.
"I think that it will serve me well. I just hope that I don't need to use it properly," Clay commented, looking at the black leather armor that he was wearing, together with gray clothes made with a resistant and flexible cloth.
