Clay and Susan didn't stay in that house any longer. They wanted to go away from that place as fast as possible. Otherwise, reinforcements of the Church would surely come to get them... no, actually, they should be already coming to find them since the bishop could weaken them.
"Do you think that they will be able to catch up with us?" Susan asked as they entered into a stable.
"No," Clay briefly responded as he walked forward with difficulty. One of his arms was around Susan's neck. She was supporting him, so he would be able to walk.
Since Clay died while on that world created by the bishop's spell, his mind didn't have any energy anymore. It was very hard for him to finish lines of thought and reason coherently. His brain couldn't deliver information to his nerves as well, which made it a hassle to move around.
