As Susan and Clay prepared themselves for the threat that was about to come, a voice echoed throughout the forest, drawing their attention.
"That's just pointless, you know? No matter what you do right now, my spell is affecting your minds for a good while now. I have more power in this world than she can ever have over this weak mind of hers. She won't be able to sort out her feelings just by some pretty words. The damage is already made!"
Clay didn't say anything. He just held his bow as tightly as he could, looking into the darkness of the forest and waiting for the bishop's next trick.
The bishop realized that they were too immersed in their excitement to reason properly. Nothing that he said to them would be worth it in the end. The only thing remaining was to crush them into pieces until they gave up or died trying to stop him.
