"My name is Ryan. Nice to meet you," one of the guards introduced himself, taking a sip of his mead. His voice wasn't as aggressive as it was back when they were in front of the gates. There was something strange with his behavior right now.
It was just natural, though. Everyone knew that it was like suicide to anger the Lord of Flames. He wasn't a person who would be merciful to someone. He would do anything he wanted once he aimed to get into a refuge.
"And my name is Matthew, though you can call me Matt, just so it is easier," the other said right after. He wasn't the type to drink alcohol so he just stared at his glass of water. He was avoiding looking directly at that man in front of him. He felt like he would be crushed just by the stare of that dangerous person.
The two guards were sitting in round chairs. In front of them was the man wearing a worn-out black cloak. His bag was resting on top of their table, right in the middle of it.
