Dean stood up from the ground, once he regained his consciousness. He had a hellish headache that appeared right after he opened his eyes. His entire body was in pain as well, particularly his skin which was burnt in different spots.
'These burns will probably leave marks for a long while... It's way too profound,' Dean thought as he moved his hands towards his face to see if it was burned too badly.
However, when his hands appeared in front of his eyes, Dean got shocked.
'The impact of our clash... broke both my wrists... I think that there is something wrong with my shoulders as well, though I am not sure. However, I do feel that the movements of my shoulders are strange.'
Dean looked around, trying to spot Paul somewhere.
'I need to know whether he is as harmed as me or not. Paul's resistance is way higher than mine. He is an Ascendant now, after all. I hope that the amount of power that I used on that final collision was enough to win against him.'
