The latter dodged that attack easily. It was way too obvious for him to really get caught on it. Nonetheless, it wasn't as simple as it seemed, to avoid being hit by Clay's spell, he needed a lot of speed. That beam wasn't slow at all. On the contrary, it was faster than Clay's standard shots.
The fact that Dean was able to achieve such a feat made Clay feel another chill running down his spine. He was feeling too insecure about the power gap between him and that boy, which was unclear even now.
