Excalibur went downwards at an incredibly high speed, faster than the blink of an eye. Clay's mind registered that move easily, but his body wasn't able to answer to its impulse to defend at all. His body seemed paralyzed at that moment. The lack of air in his lungs was a decisive factor to make the responses of his body get delayed.
'Damn it! The previous blow was calculated. He is fully aware of his strength. That impact was predicted since the start. I couldn't know that it would be so strong like that. Dean definitely became a monster!' He thought as his eyes saw in slow-motion that blade approaching his throat.
Before Excalibur could even scratch him, though, the sound of metal hitting metal reached his ears.
Clay opened his eyes again, seeing that a metallic hand got in the way of the attack.
A shockwave made the ground crack once again due to the monstrous impact of that blow.
