Claus looked at Dean with a complicated expression. He didn't think that the boy would sort it out so quickly like that. It made him feel a bit intimidated, but he couldn't let it show, anyway. It was his duty as a representative of the Council to make that boy stay.
"L-Look, Dean... I was going to tell you so after I presented the refuge to you and we could settle somewhere. I didn't want to put a lot of pressure on you right on the start," a drop of sweat ran down his forehead and fell to the ground as he gave a shameful smile.
He was trying to excuse himself. In truth, Claus didn't know when he would be able to tell Dean the real reason why he brought him to his refuge.
Dean wasn't caring about his intentions at all, though. He himself was trying to deceive those people and make them trust him just so he could stay in their refuge for a while. In the end, both of them were the same.
