Once people heard that proclamation, the group took their weapons again.

The archer was cleaning her mask and recomposing herself. After she did it, she began to take her bow. The man with the longsword, though, prevented her to do so.
"You will hold the kid. I don't want you forcing yourself so much. Remember that your existence now is a miracle that was only possible because of the Mother. She loves you too much to let you die, so value your life more."
The woman was a bit hesitant, but put her bow on her back again and approached her comrade to take the kid.
Once they heard the word "Willpower" and finally realized that those people weren't just ordinary humans, that folk felt their entire body shiver in fear. They knew how strong Ascendants were.
