Once Rick saw that Ascendant in front of the door, he gasped in surprise and despair. In his entire life, Ascendants appearing all of a sudden weren't good news. At the very least, it meant that dangerous Dreads were passing near the refuge.
'But, if that's the case, if Dreads are really passing near here, why is he in our refuge instead of protecting his own? We have a good relationship with the neighbor refuges but it doesn't mean that they will let themselves unprotected just to warn us about it. At most, they would send a messenger to tell us... B-but what if his refuge got completely destroyed!? That may be the case...'
Rick hurriedly closed the door behind him, walking hastily towards the Ascendant. He didn't want that Ana and Susan heard something that they shouldn't. They were too tired of panic and fear.
"W-What's the matter!? Why are you here?"
The man pulled Rick closer to him, wary of the people that were walking around them.
