The extended night of Saphyr arrived, but the workers continued to restlessly build the walls. They were afraid that their smell could attract other Dreads, however, they couldn't stop working. Otherwise, they would delay too much that project and it wouldn't be good for their refuge.
After their little party with Rick's daughter, they got fired up to continue their job and do their best. The last thing they wanted was to keep slacking any longer. Also, seeing the figure of a cute girl playing with them and smiling touched their hearts. They wanted to make that refuge safer for that little girl, and also for their own families.
They kept working on the walls for a whole day. They barely stopped to rest, let alone sleep. They were willing to spend two days on that same rhythm, even if it was harmful to their bodies. Some women even went to help them with food and to fix some parts of the wall, so they wouldn't need to take care of the minor details.
