Yuki's rapier pierced the air, aiming to Clay's back. The latter just accepted that he wouldn't be able to dodge it. The attack was fast enough for him to not be able to even avoid greater harm by moving to the side.
'She is aiming at my heart again. I can step to the right side and make the attack get my arm or to the left and make it pierce through my chest without harming my heart right away. However, I can't do even this much...'
Clay had his eyes closed, waiting to feel the searing pain of that blow.
"Hatred!" Someone shouted from the Blizzard. That person couldn't be seen, but Clay could hear his voice and recognize him.
Yuki's blow stopped midway as she felt a wave of toxic anger dominate her heart, replacing her cold and frivolous self. At that moment, attacking Clay seemed to be pointless, there was someone else that she needed to kill right away, or else she wouldn't rest.
