While in a semi-conscious state, Dean tried desperately to wake up again. He was struggling to hold on to his consciousness and not fall into darkness.
Dean was so focused on trying to wake up again because he knew the dangers of passing out in a place where lots of Dreads were living, and where he fought against a Dread that had a bigger constitution than his.
His semi-conscious state lasted for long, and Dean thought a lot of times that he would lose his grip and fall.
When the boy reached his limits, when he was on the edge of falling, he felt something in the environment. It made his heart skip a beat. He felt a different warmth in his body as if it was bathed in hot water. Before, he was cold as a corpse, the world around him was just darkness and a single blank point was his goal, but he couldn't reach it.
