Joanne and Elizabeth didn't even have time enough to do anything against Susan. As soon as the latter seemed to enter into a profound trance, she came back staring at them. Her expression wasn't even near disturbed. Instead, she was still wearing that same solemn countenance.
"One is done. Two more to go. So, how will it be?" she looked at her bow, seeing that there was still an arrow nocked there. She didn't shoot it just yet. She didn't want to kill those two right away. Susan wanted to show them first who was the stronger and most capable one there. Just then would she go directly to the point.
Joanne and Elizabeth gave a step backward, their hearts beating fast inside the chest and leaving an uncomfortable sensation. They never felt fear before. Not even Paul's and Alastor's battle had given so much trouble for them to bear. Although both the latter were quite strong, it wasn't something as overwhelming as the power that they were feeling coming from Susan.
