Susan was feeling quite lost, like a doll being taken by the flow of things, without the will nor strength to do anything. She felt like being manipulated by her owner to anywhere he wanted to go.
When she realized, she was already inside Refuge Autumn. Her mind didn't even register when they went past the gates.
"Hmmm? What...? Why does it feel so bright here?" she muttered once she looked around. She got a bit startled at first, but euphory came right after.
She never saw something like that. Susan was used to the gloomy and mournful scenario and atmosphere of the other refuges that she visited before. Even bigger refuges in comparison to Autumn had the same mood. The refugees could be safe inside there but they knew that the danger lurked outside the walls.
