"You could ask me, if you wanted this much, you know?" Clay muttered, still looking intently at the bonfire, listening to the rhythmic sound of the wood crackling. However, his mind wasn't focused on it, but rather in Susan's whisper that was being blown away by the breeze of the night and reaching his ears.
"I said to you that I would use Danger Sense, didn't I? I can hear you clearly, you idiot...", he was whispering as well, as if trying to converse with her. "If you have been acting strangely all this time because you have something to tell me, then just go ahead... I don't know how long I have until I... Until I... go away..."
"I don't want you to go away before I talk properly with you...", another whisper reached his ears.
