Clay gave a step back as those words reverberated in his mind and hit him intimately. His heart was beating painfully inside his chest as he heard them saying that.
"Why are you still alive?" They repeated again in unison.
Clay couldn't help but tear up. Some of those tears ran down his face. He tried to open his mouth to answer them, to say anything, but he couldn't utter a single word instead of:
"I am sorry... I am really sorry... Please..."
Rick, who now seemed to have a creepier countenance, held his chain and his longsword tightly as he walked towards him. His bloodshot eyes were glazed at Clay.
"There is no way I can forgive what you made. The unfairness of your actions, the selfishness of your desire to live, and your pretentious idiot self that thinks that you are enough to protect my daughter; all these things can't be forgiven at all. You must be punished for everything you did to us."
