The end of Saphyr's extended night was near. The sun would soon appear to soothe the minds and enlighten the hearts of the survivors, as a reminder that they could keep going forward expecting more sunny days.
As a tempest was coming on Saphyr, the sun would stay in the sky for less time than it usually did. Unfortunately for those people, they would need to deal with 5 to 4 hours of sunlight instead of 6. Losing hours of sunlight was terrible, but nothing was helping it.
The ring of clouds that surrounded Saphyr's skies generally let its center opened, so the sun could appear for some time. However, when tempests were to come, those clouds advanced until they covered all the sky. During a tempest in the Crimson Apocalypse, they would need to deal with days without any sunlight for a long period. The average duration of a tempest those days was of one entire week.
