Chapter 12 - The Truman Incident Part 2

"I-" Lily stumbled over her words as her eyes darted to the farthest place in her peripheral vision that didn't have Sylver's dark eyes. Sylver would move her head to make sure her eyes stayed on Lily's. "I what," Sylver smirked while she began reaching down into her dress. Lily watched and her mind began racing. She tried looking around for anything to calm her down.

A tree, a bush, a flower, a shrub, a stick; she couldn't focus on anything. Her mind went in circles similar to her attention. She began sweating profusely, it flowed from her leaning forehead down past her shoulder, then down her arm. Her hand gripped the ground, when the sweat had reached her hand she dug her fingers deeper into the dirt.

Sylver pulled her dress forward and began pulling her hand out. Despite the amount of pressure and fear she felt, Lily watched Sylver with a keen eye. 'Calm down Lily. Think back to the last two weeks.' She thought as she slowed her breathing down.

'What can you say, what can you do to to catch him completely off guard? Allen told me that he's the smartest out of everyone on the farm. He'll recognize if I start saying a spell. I can apply mana to my body and enhance my throw when I throw this dirt at him. It won't be much, but I can at least begin a spell. What's faster though? Whatever he has in his dress or me applying mana. How much mana should I even apply? I don't want to use too much mana and waste energy. I wouldn't be unable to run away. Allen had to break his little fasting and take a nap after applying mana to his legs to run for a few seconds. I've never truly practiced with body mana application- Wait! That particular day I-'

"Wait. Sylver."

Sylver stopped his movements, "What? Do you finally have an answer," she said as she got even closer to Lily.

"I think it's that time of the month," Lily said without blinking.

"What are you talking about," he asked.

"I need to go on the rag," Lily responded blinking only when she finished the sentence.

"Are you lying to me," she asked.

"No. I'm serious, I just got my period," She looked away from Sylver, looked back, then responded, "uh bitch."

Silence rose between them as Sylver rose up, let go of whatever he was trying to take out, let go of his shirt, turned around, scratched his head, and kicked the ground.

'Did that work? Am I gonna need this dirt later on? I should keep it on me just in case.' Lily rose up grabbing some dirt and putting it in her dress pocket. She wore a similar outfit to Sylver, except she had no corset and the beige was fading. She backed up a bit, slouched, then began hugging herself, grimacing at the fake pain she felt in her stomach.

"Ugh, Agh. Where the fuck are your rags!"

Sylver sighed, "Can you walk?" Sylver turned around squinting his eyes at

Lily moaned and groaned as she took a few steps toward, "Just barely! Take me to where you guys keep your rags."

"Fine. You still have to answer me honestly though. Did you come here planning on freeing us all or not?"

They both walked back from the cabins toward the baths. "I planned only on emancipating Allen."

"Why?"

"I want to help and save as many people as possible."

"So you only stopped at Allen, because he was strong and gullible. Smart, he doesn't know much about the outside world. Good thing he met an authority figure like yourself. Ally would have been lost without you."

"You're wrong, Ahh," a strong screech hit Sylver's ears causing him to turn around.

Lily tightened her grip on her stomach as she looked down. "Sorry, cramp. You can keep walking." Lily only got out of her charade when she heard Sylver take a few steps forward. 'Am I overselling it? I hope he's buying it. If not, I'm dead.' As Lily thought about death, the image of the unicorns Allen killed appeared in her head.

"What am I wrong about," Sylver asked.

"I didn't only stop at Allen. If you all asked, I would try and free you all, but it's hard to free even one of you. This is still a major farm of our kingdom, we're bound by laws that we must abide to."

"Bound? Who is the free one here, me or you," Sylver let out a chuckle before clearing her throat with a cough. "My father once said something that stuck with me."

"What was it?"

Silence rose between them again, it lasted a few seconds before Sylver opened his mouth again. "Yo-"

*BOOM*

Birds took flight from the trees that surrounded Lily and Sylver. Lily took cover while Sylver looked in the direction of the manor. From where they were they could see smoke rise past the trees.

At 6:37 in the morning, the first of three explosions occurred at the Truman Manor. The first simply left a hole in the ceiling, the hole had ragged edges but circular in nature. The smoke was a light gray that slowly made its way to the clouds above. Lea Sweet was the first to make the discovery between the two witches that watched from a distance.

In the reports made by Irene, it is stated that Lea said, "Holy shit, mother of witches. What in the world!"

Approximately 6 minutes prior to the first explosion, Allen had made his way inside Sir Harry Truman's office. Promptly in response to this, Harry Truman had picked up his desk and threw it at Allen who seemingly had no intent of violence.

As the contents of the desk, papers, pens, quills, ink, books, painted pictures, and other junk flew off of the desk that soared through the air. Allen stamped his feet, his fingertips glowed a tint of blue. The blue tint spread through his fingers to his wrists then to his forearms. He then lifted his arms and crossed them to protect his face.

"Is this enough mana," he thought as he made contact with the desk. He felt the impact shake him all the way to his legs that gave way. he felt himself fall straight down, and instinctively let the blue tint in his arms disappear and reappear in his feet and ankles.

It was all in vein, as the moment he let the blue tint disappear from his body all together, he was flung backward with the desk. He crashed through the door to Harry's office along with the desk. Once Allen's back hit the wall that stood across from the door, the desk broke into many pieces.

"Welcome home, Allen," Harry exclaimed as he walked through the busted door with a stone face. Allen sat against the wall, gasping for air and sweating.

"The day just began boy. You're tired already? You still have 2 months of work left," he walked toward Allen and looked down on him. He watched for a minute as Allen recovered his breath.

"Master. I want to be free. I've brought Princess Lily here to emancipate me. Please, allow her to emancipate me." Allen looked up at Harry who stared back at him with a blank expression.

"Why do you want to be free?"

Allen pushed the pieces of desk off of him. The other children in the house cowered in fear behind the wall at the end of the hall that lead to another hallway. He put his hands on his knees, before straightening his body sized himself up against Harry who towered over him.

"I want to be special, sir," he screamed with spitting coming out of his mouth.

"I thought I told you that you had to work hard for that."

"I worked hard enough, sir."

"Yet you didn't. You failed to deliver the dragonborn. You became a hunter. Just for you to meet a princess who also happened to become a hunter. Then what did you do?"

"I came back here with her to emancipate myself!"

"What did you think was going to happen?"

"That you'd free me sir through negotiation and discuss-"

Without warning, Harry raised his left hand and slapped Allen with it. Allen stumbled holding the right side of his face. His hand shook as Harry raised his left hand again. "Move your hand."

"No, sir."

"Fine then," without hesitation Harry slapped Allen again, this time he put a bit more force into it. So much force that it left Allen's right ear ringing as Allen was flung down the hall toward the children. He hit the floor 3 separate times, before he rolled and slid on his back. The first time he hit his shoulder on the floor, then his back for the rest.

Once he finally stopped moving, he turned his head towards the children who stared at him with their hands on their head. There were only 4 of them there, but all of them had to be under the age of 10.

Allen smiled at them as he got up and put his hands up. Harry slowly walked down the hall as Allen applied mana to his hands and wrist, then to his ankles and feet. He shouted, "I'm not scared of you master! I'll force you to free me if I have to."

"And I'm so proud of you. For the first time in 15 years you've finally decided to fight back against me. I'm an old man Allen, I'm not supposed to be fighting a youngling like you."

"So you're scared of me huh! I've endured your beatings before, this time it will be no different."

Harry finally reached Allen, "Why?" The moment that word came out of his mouth, Allen swung at him, he didn't move and took the hit from Allen to the face. Allen retraced his punch, and swung his body back before throwing another punch to Harry's face. Harry felt that punch and reacted by rubbing the side of his face where the punch landed. Other than that he was unbothered by it.

Allen's smile disappeared as he then spent the next minute or so, unleashing a flurry of blows to him. The children watched as their master let out small oofs and ughs. Head shots, body shots, as many punches as he could throw, he threw. At the end of it, Harry stood with a nose that had blood running down it. Allen screamed as he took a step back and swung once more, but he missed, slipping on himself. The blue tint that appeared on his body disappeared, as once again Allen gasped for air. Harry caught him as he fell and held him up.

"You think, just because you learned basic mana application. You'll be unstoppable? I didn't raise a fool, but then again you keep failing me so I guess this is in the realm of possibility."

"Why? Do you know how hard I had to work, for me to get this mana thing down?"

"I don't. It proved futile anyway."

"You don't understand! Get off me," Allen pushed himself off of Harry who wiped the blood coming out of his nose.

"You applied mana to your feet and hands, possibly your wrists and ankles to support your hands and feet respectively. You probably used it against an innocent creature that you later killed for food. You're still a level 1 hunter, you haven't dealt with creatures that could defend themselves with mana. Well I am your first. Tell me boy, did you know that I was a hunter in my glory days."

"No," Allen said as he got his breath back quicker than last time.

"I've hunted insects stronger than you. You aren't special and will never be. Now this will be a short lesson. Instead of exerting mana outward to empower yourself. Exert it only to your muscles, I want you to defend yourself against me."

"Huh," Harry stepped back, breathed in and out, twisted toward his left side, he flexed his muscles as veins popped up on his left hand. He then swung back forward and extended his left hand to hit Allen. He did this all in one swift motion. Allen crossed his arms to block the punch, once he made contact with the block, he redirected his punch upward. Flames quickly emerged from Allen's block, as his pupils became that of a snake, and his green and yellow eyes tinted red.

Harry began lifting Allen on his fist as he stomped on the ground and twisted his fist deeper into him. The amount of force exerted made Allen spin as he was launched upward through the ceiling of 3 floors and the roof. Allen crashed through 2 floors before the sound of it all even reached him. Once it did, a loud explosion sound was made as it caused both of Allen's ears to ring. It also caused the children's clothes to be flap at the wind pressure from the punch.

As Allen flew through the roof, his flames had gone wild, burning parts of the wood between floors. Smoke rose from the hole that Allen came out of. As he began freefalling outside the only thought on his mind, "What."
