The rounds were of the night. But it is said that misfortune never leaves you. Every parent wants to donate their daughter, but Gudiya's mother Basanti was adamant about not sitting in the rounds.
"She won't donate."
she was saying this over and over again
"Grandparents will do the kanyadaan."
Here grandfather also ruthlessly refused. He will not donate. He wanted to humiliate Gudiya's mother and looked at Gudiya's mother with a crooked smile. Gudiya's grandfather had become heavy since the day she had come to live with him. Basanti knew her father-in-law how much he would offend her and secretly Gudiya's father had called his brother and sent him to the grandparents. Gudiya's mother Basanti's hatred had now turned into bitterness. Now she could not bear Gudiya anyhow. Then Pandit ji called the girl's parents for Kanyadaan. Gudiya's mother sat down with her father for her daughter's donation.
Farewell also happened at 4:00 in the morning. No one was sad about Gudiya's departure. Just a younger sister cried hugging him. Basanti scolds him and said,
"Why are you crying for Kalamuhi. Seeing the wretched will show its color there too.
The younger sister was thinking to herself that
"Can a mother also be such cruel and cruel who is telling her own daughter to be wretched."
Gudiya had gone to her in-laws' house with her husband.
The next day the elder brother who came to the wedding. Went to pick up the doll according to the locale. When the doll reached her in-laws' house, seeing the beauty of the doll, the women of the village started saying,
"Which criminal threw this diamond in the garbage"
Negotiations continued throughout the day. It was night, the room which was given to the doll to sleep was less, soot putty. Gudiya smiled lightly with tears in her eyes. He felt a little relaxed here. The night passed just like that. Gudiya's brother had arrived in the morning. He had to come back to his grandparents' house for the Pugphere ceremony. Gudiya came but no one treated her well nor paid any attention to her.
Who was there except his younger sister and grandmother.
She was repeatedly wiping the tears from her eyes and clenching her lips, stopping the sobs. Nothing had changed here. Only his form had changed. Now Gudiya was married. Throughout the day, the family members kept laughing with each other, but the doll was sitting in a corner.
The next day Gudiya's husband came to pick up Gudiya. Gudiya went to her in-laws' house. Here Gudiya's parents also went back. All the guests had left.
It is said that life changes. Change happened in Gudiya's life as well. The doll was tied from one peg to another and on this peg now she had to be tied for the rest of her life.
