We talked for a while and asked about each other, I got to know a lot about him. He currently works for an international company that just started opening its business in Thailand. He's slightly older than me and he stays in Bangkok. He's actually currently on a break and visited this temple to pay his respects. He apparently visits temples quite often, he likes the peace it brings to him every time he goes in.
He didn't really pay much heed to religion when he was younger but soon as he grew up, he kinda fell on to it hoping that it would give him some answers about life. He really learned everything from scratch and learned to practice Buddhism in his own way.
He said that it was a problem with the way he was leading his life that he found impossible to deal with on his own. No one really could help him with what he was going through. It was Buddha's preachings that helped, pull him back from the edge, and thenceforth he kept his teachings in mind.
I told him everything about me, he was very intrigued about my whole medical journey. The part of me being from India too kinda came out as a lie, after fact-checking him, I concluded that this guy was not gonna cut my guts out, I mean hopefully, he doesn't.
The talking transpired at a nearby cafe. I especially asked about Thai culture, he even promised to take on a full day-long trip, eating around Bangkok. He told me that he knew Bangkok like the back of his hand. He's been to every part of Bangkok and loads of places around Thailand. We planned to start that the after tomorrow, he said he wanted to share the beauty of his country with me. I told him that I really wanted to look at some temples while we were going around Bangkok, he smiled so brightly that I almost choked, he replied
"Most definitely"
I also couldn't help myself and asked him about some Thai celebrities, he has actually met some of them, and he works with them from time to time as his company works on media in Thailand. He showed me pictures of him with some of them, it was actually legit.
When I got home from the cafe, I was so delighted, I didn't expect my first day in this country to have been so exciting. I was smiling from eye to eye thinking about this stranger who almost made me cream my pants, everything about him was just my type and I couldn't wait to see him again.

I tried cleaning the room up and unpacking my stuff. I actually had looked to rent an apartment for a few months, as staying in a hotel seemed unrealistic. After half-assing the clean-up, I surrendered to my bed and called it a day, the fatigue hit me like a bus and I don't think I could go on with just my will.
